I love watching you, Renee, going through all of those bags from that house. It's like they never threw anything away. I'm curious how the house looked inside. I've always donated my eye glasses to the Lion's club and I've been wearing glasses since 10th grade and I'm 50 now so they've received a lot from me over the years. Once I get new glasses, I keep my one pair prior to that and donate the older one so I have a backup just in case something happens to the new ones. You are such a joy to watch!

WONDERFUL Trash Bag. The Long padded teal colored box with dividers, my Mom kept her stocking in it when I was a kid! The empty vintage jewelry, watch boxes & perfume bottles & boxes usually sell very well on eBay. And the expired film boxes, were in such good shape collectors will buy them just to display them. It says a lot about your character with the excitement you have when you find a used vintage Halloween candle. You are such a neat person!! Thanks for Sharing

Renee, you are delightful! You are so funny! In addition, some of the things you find in these trash bags remind me of totally forgotten items from my childhood in the fifties. I had an aunt who bought me wonderful Christmas gifts from Lord and Taylor’s in New York. The hole reinforcement circles are for notebook paper so the paper doesn't pull out of your notebook. Looking at the circles in the box I COULD TASTE THE GLUE!!!! According to BBDave many glasses frames are gold filled. Also Napier is a high end costume jewelry brand. What a great bag Renee. I believe the Japanese socks are called "tobes".
@lesliejohnson72474 жыл бұрын
I could taste them as well! Rene, we used to have notebooks for every subject, well at least the harder ones (math, history, English etc.). If you tried writing notes with the paper still in the notebook the “holes” sometimes tore loose. I also remember when they finally started sizing notebooks in 1,” 2.5,” instead of always the 3”. That was so much nicer.
@sarahj.83724 жыл бұрын

I for one enjoy the inflection in your speech pattern. Here in Canada, outside of Quebec which of course is French, we have the Pacific Coast and the Atlantic Coast. The difference in speech patterns and inflections is very different and if you go to the Atlantic Coast one province will be different than the other and some provinces like Newfoundland has distinct regional differences and I hear them all complain they can't understand each other!! So Renee own your speech! Make it yours and be proud! Hey those glasses frames would be great for a Santa Costume. I played Santa for twenty years never made a dime, but watching the little ones when they came to speak to me still warms my heart today. That plate in the coin purse was a manufacturers tag off something. Maybe someone can translate?

Again just one shoe, more proof the woman only had one leg! A Japanese Jika-tabi ....hmm a one legged ninja 😃 The glasses in the brown case are of the type used by the military during WWII, called P3 or Marshwood frames. Look on the nose bridge most will be marked AO for American Optical Some will be marked B&L for Bausch & Lomb. These will be marked Ful-vue which reflects the ear pieces being attached high up on the frame. They are fun to look out for and can sell pretty well. The case if not marked could be military too Teeth were a good find especially with the case Enjoyed the video, I always get a kick out of watching you get excited over junk!
