Sorry for no torque numbers! All the places we rang were booked out for ages and these dudes slipped us in quick and dirty last minute and a few bits of their dyno were still being updated. We even had to travel all across town with Tony on the trailer 😂. When the only free dyno is miles away you bag your bags and head there. 🏃♂️ Had to get at least get some quick dirty numbers before doing any mods. Just a quick fun thing anyways! Jeffs torque number could make up for the loser HP numbers but I doubt it… Jeff stinks.

You'd be amazed by how shitty the fuel economy of this 650cc engine could be. Due to vibrations, cheap materials and a general lack of quality control the car needed carburetor adjustment basically every few thousand km, and that's what people did. In Poland everyone knew a neighbor that could do it, and every village had it's own fiat specialist.

It's definitely as large as cars should be by default unless you absolutely need more space. Give it 40 or so hp and it would be fine for modern traffic as well. I have driven a 41 hp car - you don't actually need more for 2 people and light cargo, which is how the vast majority of cars everywhere are being used.

For context I work at a factory that makes V-Twin engines for commercial lawn mowers, portable welders, backup generators, etc. The small blocks, around 350cc, are usually around 23HP but can go up to 32. If Tony's engine dies you could replace it with a Honda or Vanguard commercial engine and it will work just as well, it's insane

@@franccosta69 What they're talking about is when the air fuel ratio goes lean the engine starts making a noticeable increase in power but at the same time it's melting its pistons (thus it's about to blow). I think 2 strokes are especially notorious for this but it can happen to any engine.

I feel like Tony could be a candidate for a CBR 600 RR swap. The CBR engine is commonly used for college race car clubs so there is plenty of documentation (and market) for mid engine builds. Combine that with Miata suspension components and Tony would be a monster. EDIT: I don’t know what Aussie markets look like, but you can get the engine, with everything you need to run for ~$2000 USD.
