You’ve had a good week. Absolutely love that cat cover. I reckon that’ll work. Great video. Happy reading 😊

Thanks: these last squares are going to be the painful ones :)

😅 that book cover ’blooper’ still cracks me up. Pretty cool week’s worth of reading. For the drugs square, I noticed a couple William S. Burroughs novels _Junkie_ [1953] and _Naked Lunch_ [1959] which sounds pretty wild. Wow! It has a film adaptation. Green cover with a cat… Sweet!

Can I call Burroughs trash though? The film is…odd!

Cute cat! No, it doesn't look menacing at all. Another great week, Gavin. I am very impressed by your progress on the Garbingo card!

The Purple Wizard, I love that cover. Pulp covers are interesting.

Unfortunately, sometimes the cover is better than the contents!

For the Killer Kids square, there's a 70s horror film called 'Who Can Kill A Child?' that would fit the bill.

I just noticed for the first time that in your intro of movie clips, there's a man dressed in late 19th c. clothing, He's standing next to a woman with long black hair and a red vampire-style dress. He is looking amazed or shocked. To me, he looks a lot like Kenneth Williams. Is that possible? I was next distracted by your mention of the Second Law of Thermodynamics. My mind immediately went to the old Flanders & Swann song "The First and Second Laws of Thermodynamics." Sorry about that; I couldn't help myself...

Yes, that’s Kenneth Williams (and Fenella Fielding): the clip is from “Carry on Screaming”, their Hammer Horror parody :)

I always feel some sentimentality towards books that are falling apart. I’m always like ahw this one was so much loved it has been loved to pieces. On the other hand I can’t stand books with writing in it.

100% agree, even when it's my own writing from university!
