Slowly building up my tool kit. Now have saws and brad gun. I think I will need to pull the roof off next spring and put in sisalation. That was my biggest oversight. Live and Learn.

It looks nice, I don't know what the climate is like where you're at, but where I'm at, you'd have to compete with the bugs for living space in a build like that.

A few flies in summer and a few mosquitoes other times but nothing to bothersome. I do not think I would like to live in an area where you have to compete with bugs. My dogs are bad enough.

It is hard to hide experience or inexperience.Door frame up early in the build .Gutters ,down pipes,water tank and nearly off grid

Gutter is in and running to the frog pond next to that cabin. Next project on the list is to get a liner for the pond.

Ci sono voluti 3 mesi di fine settimana e serate dopo il lavoro per completare la costruzione. Costo totale circa $ 4000 dollari australiani. It took 3 months of weekends and evenings after work to complete the build. Total cost around $4000 Australian dollars.

Thanks, Looks mostly. Didn't want the overlap to look like a fence. Timbers where green when attached so shrink quite a bit leaving a gap between boards.

I really like the work that you’re doing but I’ve got to ask a question to most all of the off grid cabin builders. Why is it that almost none of you set up a table or sawhorses to work off of. It would be so much easier on your knees and back. Even the pioneers you saw horses.
