I love you showing your prep and competing Flicka. I remember grooming for a rider at the National Champs at Hartpury once, drove the horses through the night and due to delays got there are about 2am. So then I found myself chalking white socks at 3am ready for the next days comp. The things we do for those 5 minutes in front of the judge!! Well done on your lovely test🥰

My riding tutor suggested that I try dressage (I think she was fed up with me falling off when I was jumping!) I didn't think I'd like it that much but loved it, especially when I did my first half pass! I used to ride the sweetest little grey Anglo Arab. Those were the days, unfortunately I had to give it up when I started a family. Flicker is so pretty, I love chestnuts,especially in the summer when the get that beautiful copper shine! Xxx🧡🧡🧡

Question - I noticed that while you were washing Flicker - she has whiskers. In the UK do they usually leave the whiskers on - i.e. you don't clip them for the show season? Also - for next year can you (and maybe bring along Leonora) find a sponsor who will fly you to the Kentucky Rolex event next year! Wouldn't that be fun!

Absolutely we leave whiskers on. Removing them affects the horses sensory ability and you will be eliminated from any event in the UK- we are very against removing them! Ah wouldn’t that be amazing ☺️ I would love that!

Alex you are a very good rider , you seat is super your hands hardly moved I was watching some top level dressage riders at Windsor show and some of the riders were looking down , hand too high up the horses neck and too stiff in their seat ok they are doing Grand Prix in front of a crowd but all the training leading up , it’s like some just forget about their seat 😌
