There was a tiny patch of this by my driveway when we moved in that limped along until we took out some rotten trees and the added light has really helped them. They make a wonderful ground cover I am trying to encourage.

In India they are grown as fodder, if you have rabbits or sheep, they are legume and can be used for fodder for the herbivores. In south India they are grown with mulberry, bana grass as additional legume to the feed for dairy cattle and other livestock. They grow them as grapes are grown in temperate climate.

I would start indoors a few weeks before your first frost -- transplant after the threat of frost is gone. At first they will grow very very very slow -- then once it warms up, they explode! I wish I still had more seeds to giveaway.

I would love some butterfly pea Vine if you have any left. I had purchased a pack that had 10 seeds for like $6. They were growing nicely and then all of a sudden I had these worms that were all over it eating it. Or really small caterpillars they were dark and about maybe a quarter of an inch and overnight they were just eating up and gone except for the few that leaves that were left and I saw what it was. I am so heartbroken and upset over this. I got them so that I can grow and make the tea for inflammatory use and the beauty of it.
