Thanks for giving ideas for more flowering sir. I have kept Butterfly Pea directly in land. At first I did not give any growth boosters, hence the growth was very slow. But 1 month back I added a mix of Vermicompost, Cow Dung compost, Cocopeat and Garden soil. Then the growth was very high that the branches started to grow vertically catching all the objects it can. It reached 5 feet height from 1 feet hight in 1 month. For more flowering I am going to use the idea that sir gave in this video. Actually we call this flower as "Sangu Pushpam" which is in the shape of Shank. This flower is very auspicious and liked by Maha Vishnu and other Gods too. This flower also has antioxidants properties which can be used to prepare tea. Happy Gardening !!!

To understand the plant, perhaps one needs to find an expert, a Brahmin vaidya, and among the seemingly few, a good one, yet perhaps really only those that know are those considered knowers by Hindus : rishis. From what I can tell, the white variety is more valued, and more than just the flower is used : leaf, stem, root, perhaps other. Which part is more valued for what, it is hard to tell. Numerous uses as nutrients are stored in varying amounts in different plant parts, and it seems that anthocyanin is not really considered an important secondary metabolite, at least with this plant. Perhaps anthocyanins comprise merely a small fraction of its antioxidant activity. I haven't looked that much into the plant. Among perhaps more important uses : slowing aging, memory (medhya rasayana), rasayana, dementia, Alzheimer's, diabetes, cancer, snakebite, etc. Yet such wouldn't be to manage them, but together with perhaps dozens or hundreds of other plants, to treat, cure, and reverse.
