Laura, I just want to thank you and Aaron for this channel. You have made this time, with all the yuck in the world, more bearable for me. I'm learning SO MUCH from you and I'm no longer afraid to garden. I guess I've always been afraid of messing it up. Which is just silly. I now have a plan for my front and back yards. It may take years to get there, but it's all about the journey, right? I know we're strangers, but I just love your sweet family, and I wish you every blessing. Looking forward, as always, to your next video.

You took the words right out of my mouth. One of the things I love most about this channel is she isn't afraid to admit she (and her garden) are not perfect. She will show us the flaws and how to fix them. And she does have the sweetest little family.

🌾💐🌿 I recently moved to a home with 5 acres, I’m in zone 7. The previous owners had overgrown flowerbeds and sidewalk all the way around the house. I have been here 1 year & it’s a total transformation. I went from no plants in my previous home, to walking the flowerbeds every day and looking at such great results. I look forward to what you share with us, we all get so many great ideas from you and your family. Thank you for all you do for us all!

Thank you for acknowledging the misery of gardening in humidity! I'm a former CA/OR girl who now lives in VA where we have 90%+ humidity through the summers... It's seriously like walking around in someone's mouth. My garden is on Main Street where everyone walks by so every morning my neighbors see me as a red-faced, dripping, highly undignified lady, they probably don't think I'm the same person who leaves for work an hour later lol! Just wanted to say thank you for making me feel better about how hard it is to work in southern humidity!!

HI,,,,,,, KISSES, KISSES for Benjamin, he is getting sooo big! I just love your "little man". That area of your property is just very calming to me, with the variety of flowers, vines, and shrubs, plus the soft clucking from your contented chickens are very soothing. The pallet walkway is unique, what a great way to recycle them. Loving it. Take care, drink plenty of water, and rest. Benjamin was so sweet, when you asked him if he wanted to go see your mom and dad. TTYL

97% humidity here on Mississippi Gulf Coast...even in 70% humidity I noticed the difference in your hair, Laura. Now I understand (low humidity) how you can work, seemingly for hours, and still look great. In our constant high humidity I always look like a drowned rat when I’m done. 😂

I'm also accustomed to 10% humidity, my first introduction to 100% humidity was when I went to Disney world, and it was 95 degrees. How is that possible?!? I should be under water for 100% humidity. No way I'm messing around with that. I have away my park hopper pass (I fundraised for it) and I chose indoor pursuits that week.

Ha, I love that your arborist watches your videos!! Congrats to Aaron, be careful the arborist might be looking to steal him away for work! Do you purposely walk through your whole garden on a regular basis to see what is going on / needs attention or just see things as you are doing other projects? I know you have help but it still blows my mind how you manage to care for such a large and fully planted piece of property!

IIRC she said they split their property into zones, with each zone weeded on a designated day. I assume they do a "walk through" at the same time, and whatever tasks need to get done, get done?

I think she's down to two. She should get more. From what I've seen of others who raise them, it takes several years to get the situation down where you don't lose as many as often.
