I almost feel like the ending could be left unresolved but still a beautiful melody. Bravo! 👏

Thank you very much! An unresolved ending would also work but I couldn't resist using a picardy third

I’ve listened to lot of your compositions but have never commented. Id just like to say that this one was especially beautiful, it sort of reminds me of something I’d hear in Hollow Knight. Ive just started trying to enter the world of music composition- I have no experience but you’re definitely an inspiration for me. Keep producing quality work, I admire it a whole lot

Very beautiful! The musical ideas are great and you could really just expand this further. What would happen if there was a new section after this one? How would you incorporate additional musical ideas? The only real improvement that can be done is in the notation: whenever there's a fermata in any instrument, that should also be visible in all the other ones (think about it: if you say to someone, "hold this a little longer" but don't inform the others, 1 part will stay on that note a bit while the rest continue as if nothing happened). You don't really need to write up-/down bow unless you 1. actually are a string player who know what you should play or 2. want to have a theatrical effect (or 3. if you know that you for example really want three down-bows in a row. In your case, it's not necessary to write). Lastly, I think you get a bit fooled by the playback software, as it plays it A LOT MORE legato here than what would actually be, as you've separated practically every note. A question you always will get at rehearsals is also "do you want me to continue playing [insert technique] here?" i.e. be overly clear about the technique they're playing, in this case, simply write ord. or (ord.) when the strings come in again after a long pause. The parentheses are just to indicate like "I know that I'm over-explaining and I know you know, but this is just for certainty's sake".

Thanks for the advice. I don't really write for real musicians because it's likely that no musician will ever play this piece. So the fermatas, bow movement (I do play the violin tho😅), etc aren't written because of that. But if one day an orchetra wants to play it, I'll make some adjustments with the notation (including what you pointed out).

Just found you today and after listening just wanted to say first off your writing is amazing. Second off, how in the world are you making MuseScore sound so… real? Idk MuseSounds have gotten really good recently but something about the way your software sounds compared to others is different.

Thanks so much for the kind words! It's funny because a lot of people have told me that my musescore sounds good but I don't know, I just write the thing and put musesounds😅. When it doesn't sound the way I want, I add articulations or change the dynamics. maybe it's this

While you're drawing inspiration from Studio Ghibli, I'd like to see what you could do with quartal/quintal harmony.

I feel like this would fit even better into the naruto ost, than studio ghibli. Either way, I enjoyed it
@Marshoyen5 ай бұрын
Why not try it one day but I think quartal harmony can easily sound dissonant.

@@Rio-lc3fv I've never watched naruto but I heared it has good music so I'll take that as a compliment thanks!
