All very satisfying Harry. Unfortunately my wife's 'carrots in a container' have come to nought. I blame the slugs.

Ah, slugs need to be 'managed'! So do the horrible 'carrot fly', white flies that will infest the carrots around the base of the leaves. All sent to try us.

I'm sure in 40 years you'll come to your senses and make a coffee table out of the walnut tree.
