Yes! It is a wonderful combo. And sooo easy to take care of. If it's on the side of the house make sure to include some evergreens for winter. Here it was not needed because the club is not used in the winter.

They really do. I didn't want it to be a cookie cutter (roses and miscanthus) kind of landscape that was originally proposed. Something little more natural and flowy :)

I don't think panicle hydrangeas like the ones planted would mind the sun as long as they get sufficient water... as far as I've read they're the hardiest hydrangeas and can survive heat and cold very well... probably with arborescens or mopheads you'll have to plant in shade but not panicles

Love these gardens. I’ve watched this one multiple times they are so well designed and beautiful. I don’t do well with alyssum so I’ve tried ageratum instead and works well for me z6.
