GARDEN VLOG EP.30 Grow Edamame [Black & White Soybeans] in Containers on Balcony

2020 is my first time in life growing vegetables and herbs.
I started this mini project as for my NEW hobby during COVID-19.
There are about 40 vegetables and herbs grown in containers (vertically) on my balcony in Osaka, JAPAN
EDAMAME [BLACK & WHITE SOYBEANS]
It takes about 1 months from sowing seeds to harvesting .
SEED: KONAN 2 types for $5
CONTAINER: bought from DAISO for $1
SOIL: bought from Konan 40L for $10
(This culture soil is used to grow vegetables. So, I just pour the soil into the container directly)

I did that for the first time last year as well! Now I have more seeds to plant this year. I wanted to start in May but am holding on at the moment as some coudy days and colder nights are still forecast in France at this time.

Wow! What a helpful video! Thank you so much. Your English was great, and your balcony potted plants looked very happy, also. Any advice for what you added to potting soil like fertilizer/nitrogen? We will be planting ours next year for the first time since 2010 (lots of deer in our Oklahoma land, and we just didn't have a place before now).

Lanna Mullens it’s my first time growing Edamame. I didn’t mix the soil with anything or add any fertilizer. I got the information from some sources mentioned that Edamame is like other beans. They can produce their own nitrogen. When I grow Edamame next year, I will add fertilizer to see if there are any differences :)

@@DalivanhVLOG Nitrogen is an element in the periodic table. If it is not in the soil it can't be produced by a plant.
