I heard Chris Stapleton on a plane to USA 2 years ago and I had to replay it 20 times, I didnt think there would be better Country singer but holy cow Larry you send a shiver up my spine when i hear you sing. I just recently found your music and absolutely love it. I'm 60 years old and a grandfather of 5. I recently had a medical situation while deer hunting that found me in a coma on life support for seven days. While recovering I found myself questioning my life and why did I survive this while other more deserving have not. I just finished watching you sing "a life worth living". Wow. I now have my answer. My Papaw (no longer with us) gave me his 52 Gibson J50 when I was 16. I got decent at playing and still play 25 years later. But he had one and only one condition. That I learn wildwood flower. 🤣🤣 I got tired of him always asking me to play it. But I’d give anything to hear him ask again.
