Love all the cacti. They’re all so interesting. I have used kitchen tongs when transplanting as well as newspaper. Great addition to the Hartley. Hyacinths are beautiful. I can’t go near them….instant sinus headache, often followed by infection. I have to admire them from a distance…..and I do love them and their scent. Great idea with the hose. Too many plants for a watering can. 🥰

I'd love to see a video of you pruning your fruit trees. I'm new to orchard care and last year we bought a small homestead with 20 fruit trees. I do know that apricots and peaches like a vase type shape and others do better with a central leader. Beyond that, I'm still learning.

I just wanted to pass along something i learned thru trial and error with the pocket hoses. I love them, so easy to maneuver around the garden, but can't leave them in the sun. I have learned that after done watering i put in a container by the spigot that has a lid. I didn't do that the first couple years i had them and i was replacing every season because they would burst. Since i have stopped leaving them in the sun when not in use it has lasted 4years now.

At the closing shot you were saying you love it so much I was thinking what an excellent use of space and what a transformation from when you had the Gazebo there. I'm sure it's so happy in your city park and having the space available for you to put the Hartley is so very wonderful. I love looking out the windows of the Hartley onto your property and surrounding areas. Thank you to you and Aaron for being wonderful business people so that you can do what you do and I can enjoy watching you do it.

We used tongs at the greenhouse when potting cactus. The sort that were hinged more like scissors and had 2 open wire roundish ends. Those ends let the thorns poke through and yet allowed us to pick them up and shove them into different containers.

Pocket hoses are great! Had those before you got me onto Hoselink! However, beware when the inner part pops…you’ll have water spraying everywhere!! 💦💦💦I doubt that will happen to you as it’s just being used in the Hartley, and not being dragged across harsh surfaces. Loved to see the cactus all lined up like little soldiers at attention! 🌵❤

While i hate the part when i have to repot my cactuses, i have over hundred collection of different varieties. dang! Had i known that i could use some kitchen or tea towel in repotting, i would have saved my sanity from plucking off a lot of thorns in my fingers even though i use gloves. I must say that using gloves sometimes makes the process longer because it's too fussy to use gloves, the precise hand movements is not there when you use gloves in repotting smaller plants like cactus and succulents. That's a great tip!💖

Hi Laura. Your videos make us feel spring is on its way. Enjoy your videos everyday. One concern I have for you and your family is the absence of masks/respirators when you are spraying your fruit trees. Also when you are shaking the bags of fertilizer into the planting holes we can see lots of particles in the air. Is the product safe to inhale? Just a concerned fan. ❤
