Oh.. sweet Benjamin. His singing brought me to tears. My son is 23 & a combat medic in the Navy. I miss him dearly, but am so proud of the man he is becoming. Benjamin reminds me of him when he was little. Hearing him sing reminds me that the is still hope. Laura & Aaron, you are doing an amazing job with those babies. Following 9-11 I taught my then 4 yr old grandson God Bless America. Shortly thereafter, we were in the very busy check out line at Home Depot. Devon started singing the song. Everyone around us got very quiet as he sang. I of course teared up. I will never forget that moment.

I feel like kids today are subjected to too much screen time and not enough outdoor time so it is always so refreshing to see them outside with you. Along with everyone else… Benjamin singing our country’s song brought me so much joy! His enthusiasm to help is so precious and a beautiful blessing!! Samantha is a joy also to watch!! I am enjoying visiting garden centers which was never something my mother did however I remember each of my grandmothers planting in their yards and gardens. One grandma I remember her having a ton of succulents and I remember lily of the valley around her trees. The other grandma I remember zinnias, fushias on her front porch in hanging baskets, grapes growing by the back door. I hope to impact my own grandchildren in the same way!
