I agree 💯%!! Love love love starting my morning with a cup of coffee, sitting outside on my back porch, and watching a new Garden Answer yt video. I'm surrounded by my flowers on the deck, and planting beds out in my small postage stamp sized back yard..... and get to dream of something bigger as I watch Laura and her family planting, canning, planning and everything else that's uplifting, wholesome and truly inspiring. Lovely family, lovely home, lovely gardens. Learning a lot as I do.

@Garden Answer, just to be of help, take your bands off the jars for storage. There’s a thing called “false seal”. The jar could unseal and reseal without you knowing and cause you & family to get sick. Also don’t stack your jars. Same reason. Love that your canning!!!! Keep going!!! ❤❤❤

@@yvonnealexander3241 after your jars have sat for 24 hours, remove the bands and just leave the tightly sealed "flat" lid. I also gently rinse the outside of my jars and let them air dry. Label and store in single layer. Also, if processing multiple batches on same day, consider numbering your batches on the lid so if you find a bad jar later on you can pay close attention to the others in that batch.

I love watching you can things. I didn’t know there was such a thing as the juicer thing you showed us, i’m very interested in it. I love going through your garden, I love seeing you plant, prune, and, etc. But the canning is just the icing on all that you show us the whole process from beginning to end from buying the plants, digging the whole fertilizing, planting, taking care of them, harvesting, then two canning. That’s really a treat for me.

Did not want to scroll down to find my original comment but here is a recipe for gummy bears. Grape Juice Gummies by Soccermomblog 1 1/2 cups grape juice 3 Tablespoons honey 1 Tablespoon lemon juice 3 packets of knox gelatin, (= 3 tablespoons) 1 Combine all ingredients to a small saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil, whisking constantly as the mixture heats, until the gelatin is completely dissolved. When it’s reached a rolling boil, remove pan from heat and allow to cool slightly. 2 Use a dropper to fill the silicone candy molds with the grape juice liquid. Alternatively, you can pour the mixture into a squeeze bottle and use that to fill the molds. 3 When the molds are filled, place them in the fridge on a sheet tray for 30 minutes to harden. (can use agar gelatin to make vegan gummies)

You can also drain all the juice in a large pitcher, get the next batch of grapes going in the steamer, and then pour the juice from the pitcher into the jars. It reduces how many times you have to open the hose clamp down from 12 to 1. We consider the jars of juice as concentrate.

So perhaps 8 gallons of juice which could be drinking, fermented to wine, or fermented to vinegar in addition to making jelly. You may also dehydrate and make grape fruit leather? Then there are the table grapes which also could be used hand eating, and fruit leather and maybe more jelly? Who knows. All delicious! Also fruit leathers from your stone fruits would be a nice idea like fruit roll-ups for Benjamin but no added sweeteners or colors. Healthy! Laura, I appreciate so much your canning videos this year. I don't know if I'll ever do any of that, I'm mostly a "city girl with a small garden" but... My grandmother and aunts used to talk of all the canning they did (they were farmers from Iowa and Oregon, Lakeview!) and I never got to experience it with them. Of course, they didn't have all the newer-fangled equipment and didn't even have air conditioning to enjoy while they were doing all the work, but your demonstrations are a real connection for me to them and to the caring, difficult work that they did to sustain their families through decades, including through the Depression in the 1930s. I recall canning time for them was also a time where they came together to help each other's households and to share family time. It was hard work, but they loved the traditions associated with it. I have done a lot of pickling this year: cucumbers, okra, banana peppers, and am working on so many of the great methods you've shown us. Great job on the grape juice!

Love anything in the kitchen along with gardening!! Thanks for showing us how to make grape juice and can it. I've canned a lot of things in my day but never grapes so this was very informative and such a great harvest video!! Those grapes in the basket could be a picture in a GA calendar! Thanks Matteo for sending the vines to Laura 🥤

I think the reason I love to watch your videos vs other ones is because you have such a different variety of things happening each day/week! I loved watching you harvest your grapes and making the juice! How do you keep the birds from eating all those beautiful grapes?? I remember my grandfather having grapes and they had to place a net over them for protection.

I never see Concord grapes anymore. Not in Kansas used to all the time in the stores. But we make Concord grape pie. You skin the grapes set aside, put Pulp in the calendar to remove seeds,. Then we bring pulp and skins add 1+1/2 cu sugar 2TB Cornstarch 2 1/2qt pan .it is fantastic. Put lots of butter before putting on top crust . 2 crust ,bake 350 for 35-45 min or until bubbles thick out of Slits on top of the crest. Enjoy eating

What an amazing grape 🍇 harvest! So happy that Benjamin and Samantha will have healthy juice to drink! Lots of vitamins, antioxidants and resveratrol to keep their hearts strong 💪🏼 How many harvests can you expect from that one white grape vine?

It looks like great harvest. You need to remove way more leaves from around where the grapes are. We had a massive grapevine of dark purple grapes. Once a week I would remove a wheelbarrow full of leaves off to let the sun shine onto the grape bunches. You can leave the leaves that are on the outer reaches. The reason to remove lots of leaves is to let the air get through to avoid any boytritis(fungas) and to help the sunshine improve the brix(sugar levels) in the grapes.😊
