You aren’t complaining. You are being honest and transparent. People are socially unaware because they live online. Social media gives them permission to say and do whatever they feel like doing. I so appreciate that you have let so many strangers into your world. Thank you

I think you handled the "visitors" to your property correctly. Some people just get so excited to meet "famous" people that they forget their manners. When I lived in NYC I would see many famous people out and about but tried to respect their privacy. You share your gardens and thought with us and that is enough. Life in a fishbowl would be terrible. Your privacy is your right.

There must be an app for that. With all the things you do already with your smart phones there must be something that you could use to lock or unlock a gate at your entrance. Might be time to invest in something like that.

Personally, it is okay, Aaron, to complain when strangers come to your home, and yes, there are people who have zero social awareness. Glad to hear you have security measures at your place as well, as you've not really highlighted that. I guess there are always those signs you can put up about trespassing with violators being prosecuted... but even that is a sad thing to do because of certain personalities not having the common sense to stay away.

I just had to go to your mom and dad's garden shop and was low key hoping your mom was working. She wasn't and actually I was glad cause it felt wierd and I felt like I was invading your lives. I bought some very cute Christmas ornaments and pots. I love them and am excited to put them out this year. I almost feel guilty for going to the shop. It's such a cute store and I would seriously love to come learn and put together holiday wreaths! Thanks for all you do! You bring peace to my soul after sometimes really hard shifts. @Shirley Rice so sorry you are sick with Covid. Just wanted to share if you can get Congaplex by Standard Process it should help you recover sooner. I've used it along with my daughter, friends, and family and we all believe it helps to recover faster, it's a whole food vitamins/supplements that builds your T-cells to fight the virus, basically it builds up your thymus gland, T killer cells. Its highly recommended by practitioner's and sold by them but you can possibly get it from Amazon. Just wanted to share with you, I know how miserable Covid is 😥 take care and feel better soon!

Oh my goodness Laura and Aaron! You have every right to tell anyone who is UNINVITED to get OFF your land. You never know what people are thinking. It’s not like your house is a park or property that is available to the public. How rude people can be. You have every right to tell people to go away. It is flabbergasting me to think that someone thinks they can just show up uninvited and play “let’s get to know you” when they want. Ugh!! Be safe!

It's not so much the right to carry, but the right to stand your ground. In places like NY, even with our castle laws, you'll have to "reconsider" using lethal force even if the situation calls for it. In my state, you're guilty of homicide. What you'll need to prove is if it is justified, and the justice system in here were never a fan of firearms.

Though not on the professional, landscaped kind of garden that the two of you are creating for your property my mother & dad and aunts & uncles would always do garden tours on one another's land and I say land because they were voracious plant diggers. They would start with the flower beds, head to the vegetable gardens and more often than not one or another would mention wanting some heritage plant and the other would say, "oh, we have a nice patch of that over behind the pasture... in the woods, by the river... in the ditch...." No one ever went home in late spring to early fall without a plant.💕

I love the interaction between the two of you when discussing plantings! Especially when you have different opinions! You kind of drop it and start a new conversation, moving on... the weeping birch that was a good example 😆❤️. Glad you both are feeling better. Love to tune in everyday and see what's going on!

I have never commented before but I love the music you play over your videos..it’s always just the right tune for the activity. Also, I know you have a lot of outside noise but as a viewer, I think you hear it more than we do. 😊

I had Covid 2 months ago, so it is still out there. It was like a terrible head cold with a few weeks of fatigue but honestly not as bad as I thought it was going to be.

I plant 80% annuals because I can paint a new picture every year! I’m not a creative person (think desert), but I can choose a different color palate each year! Perennials don’t last all summer 😉 Love you!

I love the progression of your garden and how you have made it a wonderful place for your children to grow. One thing I wanted but never got to do for our 8 kids was make a sledding/slide mound for winter sledding and summer sliding. The only problem with a slide is the heat of summer. I thought it at max would be 5 ft high. I imagined doing the sides as a rock garden or just plantimgs of ground cover. Would that be a idea for your newest property? I remember you saying you were going to level the land, and you may end up with enough for a mound or a berm.

The reddish succulent is either Graptosedum California sunset or Sedum Adolphii. I can never tell the difference. I've always wondered why you don't have a small area of cold hardy succulents. I bought my first succulent about 5 years ago knowing nothing about them. I love the ease of caring for them: a little water in the summer and ignore them all winter. They even had no issues during the Mar 2021 storm when we had 26 inches of snow in about 36 hours.

Yeah, I live a half hour away from Laura and Aaron. I have thought it would be fun to casually drive by and see the property, but my good sense kicked in and told me NO, that’s not okay! It’s funny because I have been to the garden center and talked to her mom and dad, so it can seem like I almost know them, but I don’t. If I were them, I wouldn’t want anyone coming on my property nosing around. I mostly would just like to go there to get the lay of the land so I can see it in my mind better, not to see them. But I never will. I respect them too much.

Hey Laura. That tall succulent looks like a 'spekboom' or Portulacaria afra. It's native here in South Africa and an amazing outdoor plant or indoor air cleaning plant.

🏠 I'm so glad you talked about strangers showing up at your home. I have often wondered if you have to deal with that, as you are so popular & live in a small town and would be fairly easy to find. It is one reason I am nervous about putting videos up on my own channel, as I've been stalked before by a guy who was obsessed with me, and I don't want to invite that possiblity into my life again. Anytime you have crazy fan stories, I would be interested in hearing what you deal with... You mentioned it was worse in the beginning. How many people a year would you say you deal with (then & now)?

I'm in northern Utah zone 7 and have some succulents around my koi pond as a ground cover. Mulch then up a little in the winter and they have thrived in the ground. Love them!

Mom pro tip: anytime you have anything regarding the brain use an ice pack. Either use a plastic bag filled with ice or an ice pack. It will help with headaches, fevers, and sinus pain. For headaches and fevers place at base of head by shoulders. As the fluid from your spin come into your brain, you will cool down the fluid. I hope this helps. Love you and your channel. Keep up the good work.

Wow, I can't believe someone would think it would even be remotely okay to invade in your privacy. Thanks for all you do. So enjoyed your discussion on the airplanes and dogs barking. My neighbors had some dogs they would let bark forever. It means they are stressed or we are strangers, in my own yard.

we had Disney passes when the kids were small and one was still free entry. went about 7 times that year. Been probably 50 times over my life. sometimes we would go just to have dinner, take the in the fireworks and go home. sister lived 30 min away, so it was great.
