Hi there Heidi at Walter's Gardens: I enjoyed your tour and seeing all that is in bloom in the gardens. Really love the Early Act Phlox,Tuscan Sun Heliopsis, Spigela Red,Delphinium,Lemony Lace, & couldn't get over the Mexican heather grass looking like it was glowing in the wind. Creeping thyme is so colorful for a groundcover & always great for preventing weeds. Thanks for your tour this evening and giving me some new ideas for plantings that is appreciated!

Delphiniums are truly one of the best blues. Those were stunning with the white eye. The moon garden is stunning!

I just planted amsonia for the first time this year and it has started to turn chartreuse. I'm happy to know this is normal. I was not expecting that.

Lychnis coronaria is a great plant, and easily self seeds. It's a biennial that flowers in the second year. Also comes in white. Great for filling the gaps among the perennials, to give the English cottage garden look.

Thanks for another wonderful video! You referred to the the Golden Shadows Pagoda Dogwood as a bog plant. I have one of those in my backyard yard and it doesn’t seem to be thriving. I’m wondering if it’ll do better with more watering. Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks!

I think i miss spoke. They have it planted among their bogs plants, but the bog plants are planted in a kiddie pool that is buried in the landscape. The kiddie pool plantings mimic a bog with the planting materiel they used and the ability to hold some water.

My friends are visiting Michigan in July and I said that they could visit Walter's Gardens and Proven Winner's gardens. They love flowers. LIves in Pennsylvania. We googled it and it sounds like both of those gardens you visit and show us, are not open to the public. Is that true? I'd love to know! Thanks, a faithful follower of yours for years!

Our gardens here at Garden Crossings are always open to the public. Walters Gardens have open gardens that are located around their parking lot.

Thanks Heidi, but what variety are the wonderful blue delphiniums with the white eye? Are they a Proven Winner plant? I only see a white one on PW website. Thanks again.
@gardencrossings7 ай бұрын
It is not a PW plant. I was not able to find the name tag to share the variety with you.

Hello Heidi, can you please assist me in the spelling of Liches Hill Grounds hot pink plant. You described it as wispy and silver foliage with hot pink blooms. It is planted next to the Stand By Me Lavender and phlox plants in your video. If I could get some more info regarding the plant , I’d be interested in purchasing the plant. Thanks 😊 I look forward to your response 🌼🌺🌻🌸

But Peruvian lilies are only hardy in zones 8 and up per the website
@gardencrossings7 ай бұрын
Most of the ones currently available are a zone 7/8. We have had some of the Inca varieties that have been hardy to zone 5.
