If you run a larger exhaust fan you can turn it down to move the same amount of air that a smaller fan does. Plus, it will be quieter.

I am hoping to start my first grow very soon. I have been trying to be thorough as possible with my research process within the last 3 months. Your garden talks along with your actual grow guides have been extremely informative. I have essentially everything I need to get started right now. I have actually been taking notes and designing a grow guide around growing organically with coco coir. Thank you so much for this video as it explains so much for a new person like myself. Hoping to start growing here within the next couple weeks if all goes well.

I have a 3' X 3' tent and started with only had a cheap 100 W light. I am in Canada and was running a heating mat to keep the tent warm enough all winter. I have now added another 200 W of cheap lighting. I am venting my tent outdoors between July and Sept only the rest of the time the lights help heat up the basement. To me light efficiency is not so important. All that heat is not a waste.

Re Tents: pin hole light leaks into the tent is unlikely to affect flowering cycle. As much as a full moon is ok. If it is about light leaking out, tent in bedroom and lights on while trying to sleep, that might be a problem.

Wansid dehumidifiers will restart from power loss. Set dehumidifier to 30% and let the Trolmaster Hydro X or Tent X control the setpoint. Turn Off "Hot Start" to prevent double delay timers.

I put 1×8's across the top of 2- 2×4×5's. A shelf for the exaust fans and remote drivers. My 3×3's are 6 footers. With just the filter in the center of the tents, it doesn't limit the height of the light. I control humidity with the variable speed exhaust fans, and mechanical timers for the lights are my only automation. I monitor everything with an indoor/outdoor weather station with remote sensors. KISS. We have time of use metering so my lights are on at night when rates are halved.

With a short tent you can make it taller if you only have a plant or two by cutting a hole in the bottom of the tent and raise the tent up where the floor of the tent is up toward the rim of the pot

No matter what grow tent you purchase, make sure that it has good, quality zippers. It’s the zippers that always wear out, or break, first. Once the zippers wear out, you have to buy a new tent.

I first started with a $250 kit; tent, light and inline fan. Still fine. Still working. Going on three years. Most of that cheap stuff is good enough. Great thing about Amazon is hey have user reviews. Tent quality doesn’t matter much if you’re placing it in a dark place anyway. I don’t really see one falling apart. They’re all the same, aluminum rods and braces and then different quality canvas to cover it. Lights are where it’s worth spending a little extra money for more efficient lights because that will save you in electricity.

I like to go with overkill lights. I never have to run my lights over 75% power and I verify this with my PPFD meter.. it helps with heat control and the corners are able to get a bit higher PPFD. In my 2x2, I can get 980 PPFD in the center and still over 700 PPFD in the corners. Canopy work goes a long way with this also.

I just set up my new AC Infinity 4x4 tent and inline fan with the filter. LOVE THEM! The tent is beautiful! It is thick, thick. Has really big poles I have the cheaper fan controller, but a good 6' fan moves a bunch of air. With my new Vipar KS5000 light the #3 setting on the fan works perfect. This tent and ventilation system is working out just perfect.
