We do not prune the Areca Palm but we trim it. I just trimmed the tip of the leaves and dried ones. It’s growing.

I was disappointed that you did not reply to my qerry. Nevertheless I went ahead and split my 10 yr old areca palm into three. After three days, leaves are turning yellow brown and edges of yet green leaves are drying up. Please let me know if this reaction is normal OR that some further action is required to save them.
