I exactly followed your instructions and now I have over 200 three inch high plants. I have started to transfer 3-4 seedlings together into one pot and they are doing great. I live in zone 9 in Florida and the seeds were from one of my older trees. I started the project mid of September - the seeds were just fresh from the ‚mother plant‘. Thanks for this excellent video. When did yours flower and seed? I am in south central Florida. I planted some very large arecas in March. None have produced seeds. I wonder will they bloom later this summer or perhaps next spring?

@@beewm4225 my seeds were ready in September- that’s when I started the project. I had my ‘mother’ palms about 6 years by then and when I bought them they were 10 feet high ( I don’t know how old that would make them). They need a certain age to produce ‘worthy’ seeds. All the plants I got are doing wonderful. I grouped 5 together and now I finally transferred them from the pots to their final destination in the yards. They are 2 feet high. good luck

Hi Sir, I harvested the seeds from areca palm tree, I have dried it and I guess its ready for sowing. I query is, I don't have straws to cover the pot. Also I did not understand if we have to water the pot daily or leave it untouched till germination. Thank you so much for your your time and help.

Ally Chamroo I don't think that you can so seeds in Sea sand because it contains salt. However, there maybe some process in sowing in Sea sand but that process is not known to me. I am sorry for that.
