It's no big deal for an Tarnisheds to kill a demigod who wields the Great Rune, given that it's a requirement for the Round Table to accept them into its ranks.

On past fromsoft games the enemy used what they dropped. An example from bloodborne is the bloody crow of Cainhorst using the rapture rune so if he visceralled you, he would recover health. Malenias rune gives the rally mechanic from bloodborne. Even though her health drained on the bar. In reality it's still there but needs to be recovered quickly.

the part I like most about Boss vs Boss is that it's not only a test of strength, but it's also cinematic as fuck in some areas, which makes it even better overall they do feel just a little unfair sometimes, but Godfrey here held up very nicely in the 2nd and 3rd rounds, proud of the lad

He's got better poise, per-hit damage, and poise damage than Melania as well as some brutal AoE attacks, so yeah if he can grab hold of the momentum he can stack up a lot of damage on her. Unfortunately for him, since bosses aren't programmed to dodge as effectively as players, if her regen is up she can regain lost health pretty quickly if she gets one of her combos going. It is kinda unfair, in that her regen works very well against a boss' tendency to trade hits rather than evade, but it's hardly unexpected when you pit a hidden boss against a main one.

Godfrey is, imo, one of the most fun fights in the game. He's not crazy hard, but the flow of the fight is nice. He keeps you moving, and isn't too aggressive like some bosses.

Radhan idolizes Godfrey so much that his whole armour is based on him, Godfrey was the strongest in his Prime. Even he would survive that attack Lore-wise. I'm not sure if he can take out the full-conscious goddess of rot though, because she collapsed after blooming while fighting Radhan. After all her power came from an outer god, it's hardly her strength.

@@sevirakalau2171 Being human or god doesn't matter in these games, he destroyed Placidusax (not saying he is the mentioned Storm Lord), which is absolutely a god stronger than malenia even in her second form, malenia was never defeated but Godfrey fought all of the Golden Order's enemies, malenia has a Great Rune that lets her heal with every hit meanwhile Godfrey has nothing but a broken axe, he also exterminated the goddamn Giants, and he defeated the Storm Lord which is probably a god, it's not difficult to imagine that Godfrey can defeat malenia as a goddess.

Every other human (besides us for gameplay) fking lose limbs, or died from small doses of it. Considering how roughed up he was in the opening cinematic he can obv be defeated. Tbh the last fight is very accurate to what would probably happen anyways. Much like Malenia's battle against Radahn (who is also a huge bulldozer of a man), it was very even of a battle, but once Malenia was defeated, she succumbed to the Rot God and used that power to bring Godfrey down with her. Even if he survived that, the Rot would've absolutely broken him down.

@@UrMom19954 Yes, that's true, but malenia is not stupid to do the same mistake, the bloom in Caelid was strong because malenia put all of her power in it, which is why she passed out after the bloom, if malenia decided to do the same against Godfrey, he would dodge it, and then kill malenia. Even if we assume that Godfrey couldn't dodge the bloom, he has a short time before the effect starts, because scarlet rot is not instant, the player has to wait few seconds before the effect starts if he was standing in the bloom, Godfrey is stronger and has better resistance than the player, he will have a longer time to smash malenia's bones and kill her before he eventually dies due to the rot, Radahn would have done the same thing if he hadn't been ganked by malenia's knights. malenia's blooms in her fight are not as big as the one in Caelid, dodging them is easy, and it leaves malenia unable to move, someone like Hoarah Loux is able to dodge the blooms easily.

I just got this idea after seing another vid from another channel, where Godfrey powerslammed a fire giant and dealt like 1.2k damage. It felt kinda weird, so I just proposed what I thought how the damage values should be calculated.
