I live across SG in Malaysia and due to Covid we are currently not allowed to cross borders, but can't wait for them to open again. I've visited the cloud forest dome before and now, after seeing your tour I so so want to go again and look at all the plants more closely to really appreciate them. Hopefully soon. Summer I really enjoyed this entire Singapore series, especially during these times that we have to stay at home. We moved there in 2011 and my love for this country is only growing, we need to appreciate more what we have. I am only now starting to realise that I live in house plants heaven with the right climate conditions to grow many many beautiful plants and great resources to buy them. Thank you very much!

This series is everything I never knew I needed. I've been waiting for each episode impatiently but the wait made it more special so I appreciate the format. I don't travel a lot, and I've never been more than a few days trip by car away from home but I'm truly inspired to go to the other side of the planet to visit Singapore and Gardens by the bay after this series! Thank you for creating this content for us! 💚

Again, Wow! I am just so amazed. I just want to replay it again and again. Those peperomias were also amazing. Normally most of us only see them in single house style planters so I was stunned to see them in this video in profusion with their inflorescence all co-mingling. Thank you so much for doing this. I know if we are amazed how it must have been for you.

I loved this series! I was in Singapore in 2018 for two weeks and spend a lot of time in the Grdens by the Bay. I was three time in die Domes. Back than I wasn't into plants like I am now but it was breathtaking and wonderfull. I wanna go back so badly and revisit all the cool places with the plants. Also Singapore has a lot of greenery in the City. I was so amazed with all the green colors and plants everywhere. Thank you for you awesome content and all the knowledge you give to us. I love watching your videos!

I like how the Secret Garden gives one such an intimate viewpoint and interaction with those understory plants. The magnifying lenses draw one into the lilliputian world of miniature plant structures. (Every gardener should own one, if only for pest detection.) ~ I appreciate how in this series you seamlessly interwove nerding out over ‘houseplants ‘ with detailed botanical, architectural and horticultural information. You featured a representative amount of juicy species without becoming encyclopedic. The camera, sound, editing, etc., were all quite good. I imagine that making the arrangements with the Garden authorities and the scheduling Mr. Davis’ extremely generous sharing of his time and expertise was an involved task. (He would have ‘out named’ you in the dry cactus house.) Undoubtedly the best aspect of this series is that both you and Chad , though more knowledgeable than many of your viewers, spoke from a relatable place of wonder and interpretative observation. This made for a friendly fascinating conversational tone, rather than a dissertation. P.S. - Sculpted stalagmites at 4:15 ? P.P.S. - A good KZbin video on Wollemia nobilis is, ‘Ancient future - saving the Wollemia Pine’.

I very much appreciate you taking the time not only to watch the videos but also to write such detailed missives (well, they feel like missives :) about what you think of the material. In particular, what I've loved about speaking with the people that we meet and film is that all of them have a childlike wonderment about them when it comes to plants-and I SO love that. I think that, in part, is what helps make this accessible. And your intuition on the tasks involved in producing these videos are correct. A lot is involved-compared to when I first started 2 years ago-to get these produced and in front of your eyes! Glad to know it's not going unnoticed :)

Congratulations on the updated episodes, Summer! It's really helpful that they use texts and other graphic elements in order to help the user navigate through them. I enjoy as well of the filming style, especially for field trips like this one ;) - which, by the way, increases, even more, the curiosity about growing different species altogether. That's something I'd like you to talk about more extendedly. Cheers! Nina
