Oh my god the end of this broke my heart. That is so incredibly sad. I almost lost my dad to a heart attack two years ago and we think that’s what happened to my brother (he overdosed in April) as well. It has completely and entirely changed me as a person. So much rides on that one little organ. The gravity of how fragile life is and how brief a time we have here knocked me into another universe. My deepest sympathies to his loved ones, and to you Summer. That said, I hope I get to spend my last day doing what I love, and with passionate people, like Chanin did. Rest in power. 💚

I was first moved to tears when Dr. Piyakaset pointed out the little blue flowers growing on and around the granite where the water drains. When he spoke about how climate change had reduced the number and they would eventually disappear I was overwhelmed. Then when you announced the loss of your collegue an ended the video with such a lovely reminder of the transience of life I again found myself swept up in poignant emotion. Thank-you Summer for such a lovely video. It was a fitting tribute to a man who lived his life growing beautiful things. I just love what you do.

This is my favorite video of yours. It was very generous of Dr. Piyakaset to allow you to join in the little expedition so in turn we also get to see plants in their natural habitat. I felt like when I was younger and was always excited to discover new plants and animals in what used to be my less crowded and less progressive hometown. Now that most of lands were turned into homes and subdivision, those times when I'm exploring are the best memories I have. At the end, it was sad to know that a man who had a passion for plants, Mr. Thorut, had passed away. May his memory and passion for plants live forever.

This video made its way to my feed today. As I watched I was mesmerized by the beauty. Been able to see plants only native to that mountain was incredible. It is always entertaining seeing you and your love for not only plants but also animals. I truly hope to become a Botanist one day soon. Indoor plants are great to have but I do believe that there's a bigger purpose for them in our world and lives. The ending was shocking to say the least. By the end I felt their pain. I can't imagine more appropiated video to tribute and farewell a distinguished botanist Chanin Thorut. The entire film was astonishing, with Dr. Piyacaset climbing trough all those cliffs just to watch and photograph a little tiny plant risking extintion. So brave!
