this year I was just thinking to not plant any bulbs, so much work and so little time to enjoy them...but seeing how you speak about kneeling and looking at the crocus it makes me doing it again. It is also not for me only but for the bees as well. I like more peach and white colour and narcissus recurvus, they remind me of childhood time in Romania as they were everywhere we were not so many types back then. Can you also show us when they are spent, what do you do with all bulbs, I struggle to find space in the garden, dont know which one is which anymore and later when I plant something else i dig into them everywhere...

Good morning Marta! I did not plant any tulips this year as I have to redo some garden beds. Unfortunately I cant do a bulb lasagna in a pot because it is too cold where I live and they would just freeze and then rot. I always love seeing when people can do these pots as it's so beautiful.

Is it ok for the pot of bulbs to freeze in winter since you've put them under the bench but outside?? I've just made 4 pots and 2 railing planters but put in my garage, which is unheated but still like 55 to 60 degrees. Is it best to put on deck against my house?

What zone and winter temps do you get? I'm Zone 6b and not sure where to store for the winter? 🤔🤔🤔🤔

Marta's garden is located in gardening zone 6B 😊

Ja też planuję posadzić, ale póki co czasu nie mam. Dobrze, że ziemia w worku raczej nie zamarznie i mam jeszcze sporo czasu 😅

Do we have to fertilize the bulbs and when will be the best time?

Good morning, Marta. Can the lasagna method be used in the landscape? If someone has a wee garden, might this be a way to put the limited space to good use?

Yes! I always plant crocus above tulips. I did not try with hiacynths but it might work as well

Do you take the crocus bulbs out when the flowers are over, and could you then plant them somewhere in the garden?
@GardenwithMarta2 ай бұрын
Yes, I take them out in June and plant again in the fall- in pots or in the borders

@@GardenwithMarta Thank you. So you take them out at the same time as the tulips? Is there any reason why they can't be planted straight into the garden?
