Anime and manga have shown plenty of dead Pokemon "on screen" if we go into semantics lol. Don't see the beast trio dying in games, but in Pokemon Generations we do in the burned tower. Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Red/Blue Rescue Team, Gardevoir. Technically Kyurem is... kind of, being undead, a zombie, by extension Necrozma is a parasitic black hole so it's also in a state of dead but kind of not, then upon becoming Ultra Necrozma briefly it's back to life... to which you then kill it again lol, Eternatus too. Been quite a few times we've seen dead Pokemon on screens, and that's just off the top of my head, not to mention off screens like Lysander's genocide to power the cannon.

He wants to do this because he believes humans have basically ruined the world with their greed and cruelty and have sullied Pokémon by using them as tools for profit and pain etc. In the Anime it’s actually further elaborated that he used to be a humanitarian worker who gave aid to people who were struggling. But eventually the same people he was helping eventually began to believe they were entitled to his aid and they even started fighting amongst themselves over it. This basically started him off on the path of being a villain.

Ya know...watching this 1) reminds me how OLD I am as I start going over in my head how LONG I've known about Pokemon...how into it I was as a kid....how much my mom adored the Ponyta line because she loved horses....how I fell out of Pokemon in early high school because I thought I was 'too old' for Pokemon...how I fell back in love...and 2) How hype I am that there's rumors that Universal Studios is gonna add a Pokemon area to the theme park Nintendo area they are gonna have soon!!
