Honestly.. I feel gallade is better. Gallade has considerably decent bulk. I mean, he can utilize all 3 elemental punching moves(fire, thunder, and ice punch) and he can use priority move shadow sneak. His ability _justified_ can be used to his advantage, by switching him into dark type moves to increase his atk, enabling him to potentially sweep. Although Gardevoir has pretty good bulk on her special defense, she has a terrible defense stat and gets OHKOed by most physical moves. Her speed is decent, but isn't fast enough to even a special sweeper.

Gardevoir is my most loved pokemon ever. I had a shiney in Emerald on my first playthrought, and now, in Alpha sapphire, I still have her. I absolutly love his/her pokedex' entries, the lore around it, his/her look, the moveset and when I've seen that Gardevoir became a fairy type, I rocket straight up throught my ceilling.

My philosophy on Gardevoir v Gallade, if it's female, go for Gardevoir (because aesthetically Gardevoirs are very feminine), if male, go for Gallade. I don't play competitively and probably never will so with that said, it's just up to personal preference in the end.

Gardevoir's appearance is similar to a ballerina dancer but when it mega evolves it sports an appearance of a princess which totally matches with Gallade whose appearance is similar to a man wearing butler uniform but when it evolves it sports a badass cape like a prince. TVTropes says that Gallade is a Knight and Gardevoir is a Lady since both of them are modelled after a princess and a knight.

Gardevoir definately has the better movepool, with both lightscreen and Reflect available to it, you can create one of the best psychic sweepers. Lightscreen, Reflect, Calm Mind, and Psychic is one of the more scary movesets, and combined with Mega Guardivoir's huge Special Attack you'll even be able to destroy teams that are resistant to Psychic types. The only really scary point is that there is no way to damage a dark type, so you can always give her Dazzling Gleam instead of Calm mind, and just choice Spec instead. Either way this is one of the most versatile poke's as you can go pure sweep giving her an awesome set of Special attacks while keeping her defenses up, create a Set up poke and replace Calm Mind with one of the dances, and leaving psychic in the case that she's the last one left, or create a pure psychic/Fairy Stab moveset and let someone else set up for her. Very nicely analyzed though, and I gotta say on appearance both are very great flavorwise.

+Walder Gamer25 Gallade looks better on paper than in actual practice. The biggest problem with Gallade is that he has a lot of competition for the things he's able to do: he's trapped in an awkward position between M-Medicham (who hits harder without wasting a turn to setup) and M-Lopunny (who's faster and is a better pivot with access to Fake Out and U-Turn). Gardevoir has little competition and none that can do those roles in quite the same degree: M-Altaria's usually a physical attacker and the only other Psychic/Fairy type in the game is Mr. Mime, who's laughably a way worse option.
