How to Apply Gare Pottery Glaze to Ceramic Bisque Mugs

3 coats of Surface Coat Black on the bottom, prairie gold and pottery patina. The 2nd one is the same except replace the Prairie Gold with Iron Moss :)

So beautiful! I absolutely love them. You show glaze all over the foot of the mug. Do you clean it off before firing? You don’t use wax resist or anything?

Thanks Mark! Miss seeing you guys at all the events! Tell Marti I said hello! You can use the Black Lab instead but I would put and extra coat or two of the Black Lab because you won’t be clear glazing it. Also it could change the look/color a little. But it will still be beautiful!

I have loved watching these Gare videos for years. But the recent addition of music is a mistake. It's awful music, crazy-inducing after just a few minutes, and detracts. Just let her demonstrate. I like to hear her talk.

Thanks for the feedback! This is an older video and we've since moved away from having the music bed run throughout the tutorial :) Agreed 100%. We're also looking to implement subtitles so that people can watch without the sound if needed :)
