The better team of the night and the best in the tournament deserved to win the cup. Pickford seved England from an embarrassment. They were lucky enough to be in the final after luckily avoiding big teams until the Semifinals. On the other hand Spain won the cup after beating Italy, Germany, France, Croatia and England.

There was ZERO pressure on the ball - beginning in Spain's end. Kane was allowing 15-20 feet space, simply trotting, never pressuring the ball forcing a bad pass, etc. In the process Spain was able to pass over the Midfield players and place all the pressure onto the England Defense in clearly outnumbered situations. I lost count of how many corner kicks they created - easily ten.

To put it in simple terms The England football team has always been not great who cannot beat top teams like Brazil, France when it comes major tournaments such as the world cup and the euros England have been jinxing these tournaments for a long time now, why is that when it comes to a major tournament final they panic, sit back and lose against teams such as Italy, Spain but when it comes to a regular match against Spain they had Spain beaten. The test as to how good Southgate is as a manager will be where his next job is. Usually the manager is brought in to complement the squad. The FA (if they decided playing style) and Southgate do not match the natural skills of the squad. He has had 6 games prior to the final where in every game substitutes changed the game - because they had to. He rewarded himself and the same starting lineup in each game. Learn from mistakes. Play players in their best positions. Play in-form players. It’s not that difficult with these England squad being so talented and managed by the best clubs, facilities coaches and managers when away from England. Plug and play.

Who's fault is it that Southgate picks unfit players for matches, or chose to pick unfit players for the tournament? Everyone could see that Kane wasn't fit, but he still persisted. Bringing one leftback who hasn't played since February, and not opted to bring another. Persisting with a forward line of Kane, Foden and Bellingham, when it wasn't working. His substitutions were poor. Numerous players looked leggy, and he did nothing to address that. Has a squad but opting to not to utilise them. We get nothing but excuses from Southgate. Regarding fitness, it's crucial not to select players who aren't 100% fit before the tournament begins. To prevent player fatigue, he could have rested key players in the final group game, but he chose not to. The results clearly reflect the mismanagement of players and his stubborn loyalty to players like Kane, Trippier, Bellingham, and Foden, who haven't performed well. I don't blame these players, as Southgate played them out of their preferred positions. If players had a long season then they need to rotate which is why you have a squad, you don't keep picking your favourites for each match - its no wonder now why Ben White did not want to be in the squad! The lack of minutes for Palmer, Gordon, Watkins and Toney is criminal given his comments that Kane and Bellingham were feeling the effects of a long season. In the end a lot of England players have been exposed as massively over rated i.e. Rice and Foden.

If they are not fit then don't play them.... Biggest game and we're sending out players who are not 100%. Kane is not fit enough, Luke Shaw wasn't fit enough.
