Anker needs to send you the expansion battery so you can do a review of the complete system ! I would be interested in knowing how long I could run my gas furnace on the complete system and how fast it could be charged with a generator.

I certainly would not turn that offer down! haha As far as your gas furnace - really all depends on the how often it needs to kick-on to maintain target temp. Mine consumes about 600W for around an 8 minute cycle (roughly). So if it has to kick on, say, 4x and hr, that's roughly 300Wh of capacity consumed per hour. At approx 1700Wh or usable capacity on the main unit - that'd equate to about 5.6 hours of runtime under those assumptions. Double that time if you add the expansion. If you re-charge at the max rate of 1440W from the generator - it'd full charge both the main unit and the expansion in under 4 hours from 0-100%.

Excellent review. I own one 767 and use it as a UPS for my computer and internet router setup. Works perfect. Since these LiPo batteries are pricey, as they all are, I can’t see having one of these just lying around waiting for a power outage, so UPS capability is a “must have” feature. The 767 can be expanded with the expansion battery, however, the expansion battery is a total slave to the 767. By that I mean, the expansion battery does nothing more than expand the power capability of the 767. There are no outlets of any kind, and it can only be recharged while attached to the 767. If you have the need for expanded capability, to my thinking, you would have better flexibility with two 767’s, rather than one 767 with the expansion battery. In either case, you’re doubling the wattage but you’re still limited to the 2400 limit of the inverter. The expansion battery just gives you longer run time. With two 767’s, you can recharge one while the other is being used, for perpetual power … just swap them when needed, plus you have double those outlets. Incidentally, the cost of the expansion battery is slightly more than the 767 on sale.

Another excellent review video. I really enjoy the format of testing you follow; it's very logical and concise, in my opinion. When you increased the AC output during the test I think that may have been an accidental stroke of genius, because so many of these tests are at the same .2C rate, but who actually uses a power station that way? Testing it at 50% of rated output, or higher, makes a lot more sense if people want to know real-world expectations.

Im looking for a station to take in my truck and go camping with and im stuck between the VTOMAN and the Pecron. Very much in need of a pros and cons video of you pitting them against each other. VTO wins for battery jumping and and life cycles but Pecron wins for charging speed and better continuous wattage. Love the videos!

For life cycles you need a lifepo4 battery, and also avoid fast charging which will make the life cycles less. For fast charging, I like ecoflow delta 2 or pro which is perfect and fast.

Also, about the review, most reviews test various appliances, tools, etc. one, two, or three at a time to tax the battery to overload, thereby, determining if the battery operates at its specs. In the real world, these batteries are used to power multiple items intermittently, not necessarily simultaneously 21:51 21:51 . It’s important to understand the a 2000 watt hour battery will power a 100 watt light bulb for 20 hours, 2 100 watt light bulbs for 10 hours and so on. If you’re drawing 500 watts continuously, you’ll last 4 hours. What your need is will determine what size battery you’ll need. i.e.

Okay....Pecron 2000LPF w/expansion or The Anker 767 w/expansion. I am favorable to max out P2000 battery expansion. In a 16 x 22 workshed with a few heavy machines(not working all at once or everyday) and 1200 watts of roof/solar and a freezer running everyday. What do you think. A 410Ah MONSTER 12.8V LiFePO4 for backup. Don't want to run electro 5 acres across a field.😃

What's up Sir! I'd miss 5521 ports. It would have been nice to have a 12 / 24v cig outlet as well. But I liked the idea that you could power dump into a couple smaller power stations from this one And as someone mentioned, that voltage range can be limiting. And man it would have been nice to have some bi directional usb charging but that's not typically on these larger ones.

yeah...that 60V input max on Solar does create some limitations. I was able to reconfigure my 800W series array to 2S2P config with a couple of cheap branch adapters to get the VOC down to around 40V and that worked fine with it. I'm more bummer with the pricing right now...since the Amazon coupon seems to have expired already. :-/ I'm curious - what do you use the 5521 ports for?

@@ReeWrayOutdoors I have used it to run a small portable tv by adapting 5521 to maybe 5525. I use it to run an O2Cool (Treva Fan) directly from DC. I use it to charge my smaller power stations. I wanted to power my router off a cable that would need to be adapter but it didn't quite fit and I didn't want to risk damaging my FiOS router. I thought about grabbing a cheap used one for testing. I also have a 5521 to Anderson that came with an all powers panel and I have used that to dump power into my bigger power station. I love 5521. Just got a new xtar battery charger that takes 5521 as well. I have a few male to male cables and those adapter kits that come with folding solar panels.

Great video. In fact all your videos are great. Glad I've found your channel. Do you have any idea of this will handle the inrush from a 1/2 hp shallow jet pump when it comes on? Running wattage would be around 1000w, starting wattage around 2000. Anker page says it's a 2400 watt inverter if I understand it correctly.

Yeah it should handle that just fine since the inverter has a peak/surge rating of at least 4000W. This Powerhouse 767, by the way, is now re-branded as the Anker Solix F2000...same unit though.

Never heard of an automatic transfer switch before hooked up to the circuit breaker. Is that difficult to install? The bluetooth app seems really well thought out. The timer and AC Recharging Power wattage limit are really clutch options.

Great review. Have been looking at this as an option for powering the rooftop AC unit in my camper van. You mentioned that it had a peak rating of 4800 watts, but couldn’t find that listed on any of the specs. I've only seen a couple of power station with actual grounding terminals, and the 767 is not one of them. So the best I can figure (without reaching to Anker support) is that that statement in the manual (and I'm assuming you're referring to the one on Page 8) is intended to warn you against trying to AC charge the unit on an ungrounded outlet. If you're not actively charging via AC, I don't think there's any other way to ground the unit.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't really consider the 767 to be in direct competition with those units - instead more directly competing with other 2000Wh capacity units like Jackery 2000 Pro, Pecron E2000, etc. But it's also why I commented that IF Anker were to come out with a model that had that capability (and expansion to 5KWh+), it'd be a major threat to Bluetti and Ecoflow in that product space. But...that's just my opinion, obviously.

Whether you keep it plugged in or not, the Max LED screentime out is 30 minutes. No way that I can see to configure it to stay on all the time - and not unique to this power station. I'm not sure I've seen one that'll keep the display on continuously. At least with the App - you can always keep that handy to a quick status check.

Completely depends on ambient temp and how long the compressor has to run to maintain target temp (which is dependent on how well insulatedthe space is). But generally speaking, an AC unit in the size will pull about 550W with the compressor running, so worst case, if it ran continuously, you'd get about 3 hrs of run time. 5 to 6 hours under less severe conditions.

I haven't tested the 757 myself...but the manual does say "110V". But 108V no-load is a little low. I'd put a meter on it and see if it drops any lower under load. If not, you're probably fine...but it drops a couple more volts, I'd be concerned powering anything with sensitive electronics through the AC inverter.

If the Anker 767 was at 50% capacity and charging off the grid, and I wanted to attach my Laptop into their A/C outlet to take advantage of the "UPS" feature, would it still provide "UPS" to the laptop? The only reason I ask, is that in the video, you said that the Anker 767 was charged to 100% capacity to provide "UPS." So basically my question is, does the level of charge that the generator currently has, affect the "UPS" feature or capability?

I think the 2 most commonly cited issues are the 60V solar input max and that odd XT60 adapter with the exposed (and potentially live) pins. I think the adapter thing is a bit overblown as I don't see most people even using that...but it's something to be aware of for sure. Whether or not the 60V solar input max is an issue really depends on how you plan to use it. For the majority of people, a single 400W (or 2 200W) panel is quite sufficient to fully recharge this thing in a single day...and for these people, the 60V max is a complete non-issue. Where it becomes an issue is IF you add the battery expansion AND you need to fully recharge in a single day. Then you almost have to use their panels and that XT60 adapter or you'll never achieve that max solar input (or very hard to it anyway). But I still think this is a great unit for 90% of buyers looking for 2000W and/or 2000Wh.

Such a pity it's not available in South Africa. Our national power utility is going to hell, as you must know by now, everybody's in the market for good power stations. I particularly like the low noise, since I work from home and some of the work require recording and editing...and I don't like interference on the many zoom/team meetings I have to conduct. Anker should make a plan, it can score big here right now. Especially if it can come up with a good deal for the poor African cousins...our Rand is in the toilet too.

Unfortunately Anker is as good at putting out quality products as they are at being overpriced. This is actually not too bad...its in line with the market and if you need a UPS then I this looks like a contender but some of us are cheap asses Pecron, Grecell/Oukitel, and a couple others just blow the market away in features/capacity/inverting power for price Not to the DC part yet so lets see if the USB C is as good as it should be Edit: eh 3 100W ports is definitely above average but not bidirectional? I can DIY a power station with bidirectional ports (120W) that cost me $20 each...but 100W in won't charge something of this size too fast so not a huge deal

Yours is the third review I've seen, and I think your viewers should know that the parallel XT60 solar connector that perplexed you is dangerous. If you connect one solar panel to that parallel distributor and plug it into the unit, all of the rest of the connectors (4 of them) are LIVE! If you should accidentally touch two of them with your fingers, you will send 60 volts through your body; not a pleasant experience. Both @WillProwse and @Jasonoid have pointed this out. Until Anker corrects this situation, others have recommended getting an XT60 to MP4 converter cable as an alternative, or covering any exposed connectors with electrical tape. This seems to me to be a serious con to the unit. I also think the RV plug has the potential to deceive novice users, who think plugging their RV into this unit will let them run their rooftop AC units just like shore power would. $0.97/Wh is also very expensive; the Amazon $1799 price is no more. Given the limited 60v solar input, the dangerous connector, and the high cost per watt hour - yes, it's slick and sexy-looking, but I'd give it a hard pass.

Hard pass??? May I ask what solar generator you like and why? I find the Anker to be the quietest and most portable of the 2kw solar generators and comes with excellent customer service and a long warranty. Coupon codes are easy to find and the next sale is always right around the corner. Use one of the many Chrome coupon extension apps (capital one, retailmenot, etc) and let it do the work for you. I got mine for $1699 with free shipping directly from Anker.

@@leafnutz2341 Sure. To clarify, I do not think the parallel connector is safe. This is my prime objection. I don't think Anker should have something on the market that has the potential to shock people if it's mishandled. If you have an alternative workaround, great. $0.83/Wh is more reasonable at $1700. Personally, I have a Bluetti AC200p purchased in March 2021 for $1700, which is showing its age in terms of features. The Pecron E2000 reviewed here earlier would IMO be a better option: slightly less capacity (1920Wh), slightly weaker inverter (2Kw), but at $1,169, that's about $0.61/Wh. It has dual charging capability that the Anker does not (2 wall chargers; wall+solar, etc). It can take any solar panel, and can take up to 1200W of solar since it has 2 MPPT controllers. It weighs only 48.5 lbs. And the 3Kw expansion battery is only $1,500. 2-yr warranty. Now, I am a frugal, utilitarian, "bang for the buck" person. In this regard I like the Pecron better. I may have come off as being too hard on the Anker, but I try as hard as I can to look past the "looks" and get to the nitty-gritty. The Pecron, IMHO, offers far more for far less. EDIT - You can get the E2000EFP with trolley kit and 2 200W solar panels on sale on their website for $1,769. For the Anker's $1799 price, you're getting a trolley kit and 2 200W solar panels from Pecron for $30 less.

@@leafnutz2341 Since you're here, check out Mr. ReeWray's review of the E2000. He does a good job, and he has a playlist of all his power station reviews. Also, if you click the "Community" tab on his KZbin home page, you'll see some fantastic deals on Pecron products right now. For $1799, you could have a Pecron E3000; 1000 more watt hour capacity. I personally never worry much about warranties, but for some people they bring peace of mind. There are plenty more reviews on Pecron products all over KZbin. Google is your friend!

@@twloughlin In the interest of cheapskatiness..... Why not milk another year or two out of your AC200P? The industry is progressing really fast and every product cycle gets better and better. I had an AC200MAX for a couple months and I thought it was pretty nice overall.

Just completed the break-in period and so far the unit is operating perfectly kzbin.infoUgkxOTeIs0vv4_9B5hsmnLsk9r930uDQLu_Y . I was amazed by just how quiet this little guy is. I kept having to walk down the driveway to the generator to make sure it was still running. In fact, the most annoying noise coming from the set-up is a high-pitched chirping coming from the pressure regulator on the propane line. I suppose it's possible my other propane-powered generator's pressure regulator is making the same noise, but the generator itself is so loud I've never noticed it. Build quality so far is excellent. My only nit is the service panel is a little tricky to remove. I feel like I might break off one of the plastic tabs when bending it back. I probably just need to work out the technique, so will not hold it against Champion.Next week I intend to fully load the unit to charge a large battery pack and will update this review if there's any problem (3000W continuous load vs a rated 3100W capacity while using propane). Absent any trouble there, I'm 100% pleased with this purchase.
