Can't beat this attachment for $76. Soooooo many things to rotisserize! Is that a word?

Bought my Weber rotisserie in the summer of 1979. I don't use it so much any more since I have smokers now. Hummmm, I got a turkey in the freezer, I might have to do that once again! Thanks for the video!!

Good looking bird! People used to ask me why I buy a chicken and rotisserie it myself when I could just buy the already cooked bird at the supermarket and it's probably cheaper after all the supplies needed to make it. Those people don't understand BBQ. 😃🔥🍻

Gotta try this out CJ! Just got a Weber 22" kettle used here...it's the OLD version! Has three dampers on the bottom, that look like the damper on the lid! Mainly picked it up for doing Santa Maria type cooking but I can rotisserie as well with it! Gr8 cook buddy!

That birds Looks Very Good my brother. Does it make a difference with the charcoal arrangement that is coals on one side or two charcoal baskets? Thank You
@mamaandpapajoe Жыл бұрын
Thanks a lot Bill. One basket could affect the length of the cook especially if it's half the fuel. The full amount of fuel in one basket could also be very hot and burn before finishing.

This was from 2 years ago….I assume you’ve perfected it by now? I just got a rotisserie and I’m searching for info! Thanks for cook and explanation.
@mamaandpapajoe3 ай бұрын
I figured out that a less than pretty bird is the nature of a rotisserie BK. The fats/juices rolling around with the rotation makes for uneven coloring. AWESOME eats though.

How do you get crispy skin ?
@mamaandpapajoe2 ай бұрын
Crispy skin like a fried chicken will not happen Kevin, it will get charred and crusty around the edges. Just make sure that your fire is hot enough and you will end up with a well rendered paper thin skin that's going to be delicious.
