Hey everyone, GarlicOS is changing all the time. Just make sure you notice that the file structure has changes. There is now a Roms folder within the ROMS partition, where roms need to be kept. So when making your second SD card (TF2) be sure to make it ROMS > Roms > [all your rom folders]

Yes me too. My suspicion is that they don’t want this device to cannabalise their other models. With that GPU unlocked it brings a lot more performance, which will make people consider this over more expensive devices.

This purple theme has been made by Dimo from Onion Team 😄. Btw we have a repo with all the themes , the purple one is "Silky by DiMo" it avoids to dl Onion just to get themes ;) The drawback of Garlic is that it's closed source (for now ?) so we can't help each other on the project ... Very good video by the way !

Aha yes the screen tearing? Yes definitely better in stock right now but the dev is busy with other stuff and there will definitely be a fix.

At first, I had trouble getting everything to work with Garlic OS. I had to rename the PS1 folder to PS. I may have had to rename other folders as well. I discovered on the PS games that I had to move all the files out of the folders they were in. But then Garlic OS reported no games in the PS folder. I tried moving some jpg files to the images subfolder and removing some special characters from file names. Finally, Garlic OS was able to see all the PS games. All the RG35xx PS games in the 64gig distribution seem to work except for Suikoden II. For some games, I had to turn on "integer scaling" and get a copy of the PS1 BIOS for them to run at full speed. I couldn't find any BIOS files on the original RG35xx SD card. Not all arcade games I have tried work. I am trying to see what I can do about that. Is it possible to change emulators? I also had some problems with the CPS stuff. I want to run some Sinclair Spectrum games, but some of these games require keyboard input to start. Not sure what to do about that. I think that Garlic OS user interface could be a little more user-friendly. I would like to have sub-folders. If a game distribution has 4 files then it will list all 4 files in the menu, and only one of them will work. It would be nice to be able to zip up PS games, although I don't know if there is enough system memory for that to work. I would like to run PSP games, but the system might not be able to handle it. I saw that another OS was running PSP games with difficulty.

Hello, I finished all the setup, but the bios seems couldn't read PS1 file with .img. I couldnt see any game with that file format in the list. Do you know how to fix that? Thanks

Any advice on recovering the lost expanding partition after flashing on a Mac? I’m still doing the 2 card setup but would be nice if I can recover the space I’ve lost after flashing.

Hey there. I haven’t used Mac for a while now. You need a disk partitioning tool. Once you have found that, you will see a large “unallocated” section at the end of the SD card. The Patti on next to that will be the Roms partition. Simply expand that partition to take up the unallocated section and apply your changes in whatever partitioning tool you are using.

I get screen flickers on Teen Titans 1 and 2 on GBA. other than that, all my games work fine. I've tried some settings but too afraide to delve too deep. Hope it gets fixed as they're my faves

I’ve been to your we my site read the bit about it and I’m still 100% lost as to how to properly do the wait for usb file. Not only am I not sure if I’m creating it right with notepad but also I don’t have a MISC folder. HELP!

Hey there, with the wait for usb file, also check the readme that comes with GarlicOS and google how to create a file with no file extension in Windows. Regarding the MIsc folder. It often doesn’t get levelled as misc or windows just doesn’t read the label. So go though your available drives and look for it. If that doesn’t work go into your windows disk management tool and assign a letter to any drives that are unassigned. This is a common issue.

I don’t think screenshots is enabled just yet. You’d have to set it up in RetroArch. Not sure if that is available on the current build.

Sorry I don’t understand the first question but to answer question 2 - to change the savestate slot (1,2,3,4,5 etc) you need to open the retro arch menu (menu + Y) and set the save slot number there and then save.

Hello Adin, my SD card broke and I had to buy a new one, with 128GB. I've already installed the Garlicus firmware, but I don't have any games. It takes a long time to download games on the ROMs Game, one by one and then place them in the right folder. Upscale? If you want the GBA to fill the screen, just disable integer scaling, enable keep aspect ratio, and then save core overrides. That should work

@@adinwalls No worries! Also, I forgot to mention on my comment that I used my MacBook. There will always be apple doubles (duplicate of roms), so, I think I found the solution. Saw this on Retro Game Crops’ post too. Just need to open the terminal then type “dot_clean” then put the path of the SD card. It’s now okay! No more duplicates of roms, haha!

@@justasuare81 hey there. It’s not something that can be done remotely. You need to physically flash the firmware to the sd card. If you follow the guide you should be fine. And also just check black seraphs notes on using the new 2 file setup.
