I also have a garmin edge 530 it is a great cycling computer the anti/theft feature is my fafarout feature the navagation is good realy happy with it thanks for video.

awesome video mate. I ordered a 530 today and am really looking forward to it turning up especially after your review. As for buttons i hate using touchscreens in rain which I ride in regularly and also when you drip sweat all over the device and in gloves in winter they are useless. I love my old edge 500 but for 12 hour 200km rides it doesn't last the distance and reviews on this suggests it will . Cheers RICHARD

Does it come with a mount for a aerobar ? that mount in your video goes right where the aerobar mounts.

No unfortunately it doesn’t. But it comes with a mount to mount it onto the stem. If you want to mount it to the aero bars themselves I think you’ll need to buy another mount

I found the screen dark and hard to see. Mind me asking what is your brightness set up? I'm so used to the 520 at 0%... I never had an issue. The 530 is different and much darker. Also have you figured out how to loose the virtual partner and the large green field? Thank you for your help

Hey my brightness is just set on the standard automatic so it gets brighter and dims itself depending on the lighting outside, that’s worked for me. I haven’t looked into removing the virtual partner or the green bar at the bottom but I’m pretty sure you can just do that in the settings. There should be an option to adjust the info fields which will let you remove the green bar. As for the virtual partner it should also be in the settings somewhere but I haven’t looked into turning it off so I can’t help much more than that unfortunately. I hope this info at least helped you a little!

Hey man thank you for reaching out. So I set brightness to auto and back light to always on. Works out perfect for the 530. Yeah much different than the 520 that's for sure. The VP and green field is in data screen.. under "show elevation" Turn it off to get the green field gone. It's elevation for the VP. I hate that green field!! Lol So im good now. No darkness or green field. Climb pro is on at the moment but that will be off soon also. My battery lasts about 2-3 rides. Cheers

Hey, no Problem! Those 2-3 rides must be really long! Haha and yeah I really need to get rid of that green field as well. Just haven’t made time to do it yet.

Ha! Well meant 2 or 3 rides.. rides being 50-80 miles 🤪 lol Going out tomorrow and I hope I finally have the 530 running good. To be honest I didn't like it initially bc of the VP and dark screen. It should be good now. Things change, life changes, garmin changes! 😒 lol

Haha yup! And yeah when I got for longer rides like that it only lasts me 2 or 3 as well. But when I use it for commuting I feel like it lasts forever 😂
