Randy, my transducer pole can be positioned on both the port and starboard sides of the casting deck. Because of this there is no need to clear the bottom of the hull. If the transducer was lifted up until it was 6” or so under water would the splash down be visible closer to the boat?

The lines on the screen mirror your transducers path. You can turn your transducer all you want but the ones are gonna stay at that angle on the screen. Hope that makes sense

I got a question. So I took my boat out Recently I can see everything in front of me like the bait fish bass etc weeds structure all that. But everytime I cast out I can barely see my bait or I can’t see it. Or I have to get it literally right in front of my transducer and it’ll still not show up. But it will show up when it’s like ten feet in front of boat. Need help thanks

What do I look under to find instal depth because I’ve never seen that page before. My transducer is on a pole so say if I put the transducer 2 feet under surface then I enter 2 feet on the install depth page?? And Thanks.

Just measure from the waterline down to the top of the transducer

From my experience this will work. But for some boat and the way the nose and bow is designed like on my 99 tr21. Without a wedge to level the trolling motor you still can't see surface splash because the trolling motor shaft is angled under the bow. So one or 2 clicks past for the forward line in the brack I can see surface splash

Did you say your transducer is 18 in below the water surface? I've been struggling trying to figure all this out. I think my transducer top is about 4 in on the surface of the water. Should I go deeper?

That’s how far mine is but I’ve had it closer to the surface before and it read the same.

Out of curiosity, would it help to lower your offset down to say 4 or 5ft I order to see the bait splash further out from the boat? It seems that most of the lower screen isn't used anyhow due to the bottom showing

I guess hypothetically it could be but when you’re fishing that far out it’s usually a bass fishing application not a crappie one so the baits are easier to see

that did not help i think all that is for is so that you will get a more accurate depth reading on your graph

Not true. I’ve been using this truck for a long time and it works well to see the splash
