Garmin map update 2025.20 minor disappointment

Update: I've tested a few of the models I have. Some kept the JCV images with the map upgrade and some didn't. My Drive 52MT kept the JCV but the nuvi 40LM and 56LM did not. I do not know how many of the older models will lose JCV.

Using a 2457LMT. Not sure if I am affected by this yet but as long as they didn't take away the active lane guidance from me I can adapt. The lane guidance is crucial for me because I can't navigate for crap. Thanks for letting us know!

Gotta test my 2597LMT to see if the junction views are still there.

2597 may still have them because that was originally a USA+CAN+MEX model, so the JCV for that one is probably still included

Thanks for the info. I’d personally rather have the junction views than adding Mexico and Canada. Reason- MUCH more likely to be driving in US and using junction view. If I wanted Mexico and Canada I’d buy a unit that already had it.

I confirmed the 2597 and 2589 kept the JCV, so that means all the 25xx and 26xx models kept it. DS65 kept JCV, so the DS55 also kept it. Drive 60 kept JCV, so Drive 50 most likely kept it also. I believe JCV was lost on nuvi 30/40/50, 42/44/52/54, 55/56/57/58 and 65/66/67/68 but can't confirm that because I own some but not all those models.

C'mon Garmin, why'd ya do that for eh? We paid good money for our units and we want our 'junction view' feature back!

Same issue here in the UK - incorrect bridge heights on roads with no bridges, weight limits on roads with no weight limits - this is making routing interesting to say the least. As you say it’s more of a downgrade!! Come on Garmin sort it out 😫

Just updated my unit and they didn't even update the new exit numbers on Route 8 in Connecticut.

That's a known thing with CT. They're not done with the renumbering yet, so the map will show both the new (in top text bar) and the old (JCV graphic) exit numbers. CT won't be done renumbering until 2028 at earliest portal.ct.gov/dot/-/media/dot/documents/dtrafficdesign/exit_renumbering_faq.pdf
