This video was EXCELLENT! I am NOT a tech guy, and I must've watched a dozen or more GARMIN SQ videos, which were average, at best. But YOUR video went into some awesome detail about USING the watch MORE FULLY! (I'm running the NYC Marathon in November of 2021 and utilizing my watch more fully is a huge plus ON SO MANY LEVELS!) i bought mine open box from ebay. took a day to set up my preferences, and after that it went pretty smoothly through all my work outs. The two buttons on the side feel very homely and intuitive. For the money, it can't be beat. It's not so rich in features, but for fitness tracking with some key smartwatch features, it can't be beat for the price. Wished the UI was a little smoother, considering how it doesn't really seem so intensive

Hey, Thanks for the info. I want to change the face and the IQ store says to update my Venus thru express. However, express says my watch doesn't have enough memory to upgrade. What is the solution to this please?

Have any of you found a way to keep the screen on for longer, mine goes off after maybe 2 seconds, so if I pause to look at anything it goes off and you can't get it to come on again on the same screen.

Thanks! You can track calories burned in the My Day area of the watch by swiping up. For calorie intake you'll need to install the MyFitnessPal app on your phone or mobile device and sync it with the Garmin Connect app. This should be a free feature as far as I know.

You missed the one part I started watching this for. At 2.24 section. My new watch doesn't show the screen with English etc that is shown when you removed the plastic screen cover. Mine just shows a little watch on the left, then moving dots heading towards the right and a square with a blue circle there. I have tried all things and cant get the controls menu or anything :(

How long does it take to charge it from out of the box? Also I have a previous version of a garmin, can I transfer this data to my new Venu SQ or will I loose all my stats? Thanks Joanne

Honestly when I started charging I walked away for a while and when I came back it was charged. It was probably about an hour to charge. If you have a garmin account online and your previous watch was synced to your garmin account then I believe all your data would be accessible to the account and therefore on your new garmin watch.

@@misssL261 Hi Lorena, I did find the answer, and it works just fine on my Venu 2. Go to the upload called "Custom Photo Watch Faces | Garmin Forerunner," and it will work easily. The upload is by "Mike for the Camera." As he mentions, be patient after you tap the "Install" button. It takes *at least* 2 minutes, maybe more. Good luck!

How do you set the damn time? It also get's annoying when you sometimes just want to see the time but the watch is in another mode. Lots of times now I feel like I just want to rip the bloody thing off because I can't see the bloody time... Grrr! Also when the battery goes flat, so does the time and you have to reset it again. Double GRRR!

Hi thanks for watching, you can change the watch faces in app by going to the main dashboard screen and tapping the device or watch icon at the top of the screen. From there tap on "appearance"
