@@novosib9017 that accusation gets thrown at NZ too but since I moved here I’ve hunted, motorcrossed, spear fished, surfed, skied, parachuted and generally had a way more exciting life than I did in UK which mainly consisted of getting shit faced at the weekends. Europe is great and full of history and exciting cities but everywhere has its pros and cons. There are no boring places only boring people.

There are variations The newer Bunnings with the carpark downstairs have a slightly different layout to the older ones that are on one level. Like it's the same but inverted/mirror mode. Although yeah, why miss with a winning formula, it's clearly working.

I can confirm that. When I need help in a Bunnings (like a product that isn't actually IN an aisle), employees are nowhere to be found, and they're often quickly walking as they do stuff, so it's hard to get them. The place is huge and there seemingly aren't many employees around. So you ask a person at a counter and they go on the loud speaker, and you wait, and you wait. The loudspeaker person just asks for anyone, so I imagine every employee is like "surely someone else has got that one covered". Sometimes you get someone who can really help out though.

Usually the only helpful person is a 60 year old bloke that will also chew your ear off for half an hour (boss knew that would happen and laughed when I got back) but that could be a mitre10 mega thing though (basically a bigger mitre10)

The truth of it is that Wesfarmers invented teleportation in 2006 and have been saving money on staff and pallet racking ever since, by just building empty bunningses every couple kilometers, and surreptitiously teleporting customers into and out of the one motherbunnings.
