great video. Looks like you had a lot of fun with your family there on the beach and from what I can see I know you had to work hard for it but it looks like you had some pretty nice finds there.and I hear where you're coming from with the bad weather man it's been raining and cold here in Arkansas and I haven't been able to get out and metal detect along the riverbanks much here lately either looking forward to some warmer days so I can get back out there. Anyway you take care and keep up the great videos.

I was testing against my E trac. Covering the same ground with both. The AT Pro was fine. I seldom detect the beach, once a year or so on vacation. One of the hot wheels cars was close to a foot deep in very wet sand. The hole filled with water after the first scoop. I think the AT goes deeper in the sand than some give it credit for. Several coins, pull tabs, and other stuff was found at over 6 inches in the wet. I'm sure there are better machines for salt, but the AT did better than expected.

I did have a coil cover on and the disc at 30. The Disc setting was just the same as I use on land to cut out the tiny iron bits. I had to clean out the coil cover after hitting the sand, a little managed to work it's way in there. Good luck with your detecting, and thanks for watching :)

I've only been to a beach twice. Once the Outer Bank's and once along Lake Erie. Because there are not as many signal's as there is in a Park, my CTX got HEAVY. I'll take the dirt anytime for finding coin's. The Beach.gives up the jewlry..good for you on that ring find..nice.

You should South Beach in Miami Beach, Florida. My wife and I usually get about 40-50 coins in two hours.... We have maybe a total of 200 hours of hunting on that beach. Yes, we use AT Pro's also in and out of the water. My opinion, the AT kicks butt over the Excalibur (yes I had one of those too)

I also use the ACE 350 AND IT WORKS GOOD IN WET SAND. Turn sens down a little. I find a LOT of great stuff in the dry sand. Six gold rings at Virginia beach this summer and around 30 dollars in coins. Remember that's where people take off their cloths and put things in their pocket. I use the GARRETT SEA HUNTER IN SALT AND FRESH WATER THATS A THE PI DETECTOR BUT YOU WILL DIG A LOT

I live in abroad now and have the beaches all to myself. People look at me crazy for detecting. They ask if i'm a marine biologist or many others. Point being, the AT pro does very well in salt water areas. Wet sand and salt water .. and i've tasted the water, that is water you can boil some peanuts in. As stated above, other MD's better suited for it but this machine works pleasantly.

James Stanton I doubt it. I've hunted Carolina beaches and Gulf Coast beaches with the AT Pro,Whites,DFX and V3I and the AT pro finds as much as multi frequency detectors. May not work that way on other beaches but the ones I've tried it has. I'm not sure why you think he missed anything when th machine isn't acting up.The beaches I've hunted in the Carolinas have been surprisingly clean.

Very nice video. Did you have a cover for the coil on it? It was hard to tell just by looking at it. I noticed you had the Discrimination up to 30. Did you leave it that way the whole time? Just wondering. I haven't had mine on the beach yet but have had it in fresh water. I know, too many questions! LOL Anyway, thanx so much for sharing that and "keep er swingin" GL

I just used my AT Pro for the 1st time. Had alot of false readings. could it be the sand was really large grained and lots of diff colors of brown and blacks. Beach had really thick sand. could this be the reason guys? maybe lots of metal frags
@CarolinaCoinHunter
@CarolinaCoinHunter 6 жыл бұрын
Henry Schnur A lot of black sand could be the problem. It can cause some false signals as it's magnetic. It can help to raise the discrimination up a bit just above the coil area, and drop the sensitivity a bit.. It should calm it down a bit and you'll still be able to detect some good stuff.
@CarolinaCoinHunter

Hello friend I ask you a question, I have the same equipment as you, and I find the same effect as your samples in salt water, the team goes crazy, and shows different numbers sometimes without even moving the coil, and makes it impossible to use it in Wet sand or submerge it, how do you do to avoid this problem of false signals? I have tried to discriminate ranges but it does not solve the problem since it is not about ranges but false signal, it is not solved changing frequency or lowering sensitivity, how do you do so that it detects real targets in water?

Hello Friend! ami I happen to indicate 80 points on the screen with a depth of 8 inches but when I dig I can go down a lot but I never reach the object, is it a false signal? in Argentina that behavior happens a lot and I do not know how to avoid those false signals, it always does it in wet sand, in dry sand it works wonders!
@CarolinaCoinHunter
@CarolinaCoinHunter 6 жыл бұрын
Detector 79 It must be a false signal. You could discriminate out that area when searching the wet sand. You would lose targets in that ID range, but you could still find gold and large silver. 80 for me is usually small copper.
@argentinatotal9646
@argentinatotal9646 6 жыл бұрын
ahhh you say discriminate that rank! it's a good idea! I discriminate from 0 to 35 for the common steel but it had not occurred to me to discriminate high values! because the lead, some silver, copper sounds in that range but well, it will be better than nothing! Thank you!

Thinking about a pulse machine for salt water. Everybody needs two machines. ( if you can afford them) LOL LOL
