Thanks to your gt35r rebuild kit, GTX upgrade kit and these videos I was able to rebuild it myself. Just need the GTX wheel balanced now

Its actually easier to press the cage on to the shaft from the other side with a 15 mm deep well socket, after already having the turbine shaft and seal in place in the housing. Then after you press the cage on to the shaft then install the alignment pin, and then put the seal on the comp side or the cage and finish it. This way you don’t risk bending the turbine shaft seal

Hi there, I really do enjoy informative videos about turbos, while I was watching it a question pop in my mind. I got 93 toyota mr2, with ct26 turbo, I would like to use the turbine housing and keep it as it will connect my manifold and downpipe, but would like to change the core into a bigger turbo and its compressor housing. I think there are upgrades for them but I don’t know anything about upgrading that one.

What are the differences between the GT30 and 35? Just the turbine wheel & exhaust housing, or is the entire CHRA different? Where I am, I can very cheaply get GT3576s but they’re too big for my application. A Gt3076 is perfect but hard to come by and 5 times the price.

Do you know what rebuild kit that I need for my Blouch Dominator 1.5xtr? I know that the cartridge is garret gt, but i was wondering which one should I buy. Can you help me to find the right parts? Thanks!

You need the gt3071r rebuild kit, there is a version with a bearing cage amzn.to/3J696Y4 and without amzn.to/3TMn7ij . Both of these are kits I sell. The cages have brass retaining rings which are more durable over the plastic ones that garrett had in most models. The cages are really pricey even for me but I need a good product for my own builds.

What are you're thoughts about this gt30 to the gt2871? I'm looking to upgrade the td04 on my saab. I've heard of 300-500 difference in rpm build up?...

+Pawel Wachowiak we have a balancing machine, a vsr balancer is around 30,000$ then an additional 400$ per adapter per turbine shaft.

I am rebuilding turbos almoust 10 years and have all machines needed - balancing machine, vsr ,electric actuator testers, and machine for flow mesurement ,I have friends they are working in burke Porter Group company ,they are producing this all machines in our country, if you want i can ask for prices for you :)
