Garrett GTX 3582R Gent 2 Install: IS300 2JZ

In this video I install a new Garrett GTX 3582 R Gen 2 turbo. I also change the oil and get the rear breaks fixed for Drift Colorado Round 1 2021. I rebuilt the rear Willwood Hydro Brakes too.

You can buy replacement grease boots for your arms just a heads up. Don't toss them!

They are both good. However Haltec is leas sensitive to cam crank issues.

Did you have to modify the downpipe flange for the garrett? Im currently running a precision but not sure if the v band is different

4:32.... on the note of bad bearings or maybe lack of oil. My feed line from my is300 turbo kit was NOT drilled on one end of the fitting lmfao. Basically oil would have never made it to the turbo. That would have really fucking sucked had i not checked oil fLOW.

I'm installing a kit atm too and ran into the same thing! there was just a little pin hole on the AN 4 side of the oil feed fitting, had to drill it out. Glad i caught it before i went to start it up

Your using the CX manifold? Is it the one you don’t need to relocate ur ABS? The kit looks good minus the turbo

no need to relocate using the kit. I did eventually though. Its a PITA to have it in.

hey bro just looking on and putting in my two cents that probably isn't worth anything to you, but that weird bend in the oil drain looks like what is causing the turbos to go bad all the time. is there not a way to get the oil drain to go bit more straight? granted that might include removing the oil pan and getting it re tapped.

Stock non vvti 2jz ge bottom end, if im not mistaken

Non vvti GE bottom end with GTE head gasket and arp studs.
