I've always felt that The Punisher had been stagnating as a character for years before Ennis' involvement. The character up until that point had shifted from a Charles Bronson (80's), a Rambo (90's), or a fookin stoopid post-human angelic warrior (late 90's), which was clearly borrowing from Spawn. I feel that Ennis also borrowed from popular culture for his vision, and his take was to make Frank into a sort of Jason Voorhees. Utterly competent, utterly committed. So committed, in fact, that he manages to seem post-human again, but this time in an insanely cool way. I love Ennis' work. He never fails to shock me, which I value deeply. Best comic writer of all time? I think so, for me, at least. I'm not easily shocked.

Whattt!?!? That’s awesome. I have been screaming for a Soldier Boy centric series since meeting him in season 3. Gosh I’m excited for this. So this would likely get release after final season of boys right? Although I really want it now. Man I’m excited.

That animated Rogue Trooper film coming out next year has an awesome cast, including lots of people I'm a fan of like Matt Berry (Garth Marenghi, WWditS, Fallout, The Might Boosh etc etc), Jemaine Clement (co-creator of Flight of the Conchords and What We Do In The Shadows), Reece Shearsmith (The League of Gentlemen, Inside no. 9), Jack Lowden (Slow Horses), Alice Lowe (Sightseers, Garth Marenghi's Dark Place, Hot Fuzz) and Sean Bean.

The Eagle Comics Judge Dredd comics are the best. I own #1-20 and Judge Dredd Crime Files #1. I am also a huge Punisher fan. I have Punisher War Journal vol. 1 #1-52, Punisher Armory #1-9, The Punisher 1995 series, The Punisher 1998 mini series, The Punisher 2000 mini series, and The Punisher 2004 series. I used to have a lot more years ago. I had almost all the one shots and TPB books, but someone stole them from me.

Hearing Mr. Ennis say that he would write Punisher again tomorrow if he could makes me very optimistic! He is the definitive and most prolific writer of the character in my opinion!
