Saw this in the 80’s as a 14 year old beginner guitarist and it has probably influenced my approach to lead playing more than anything else. Thanks for posting Neil!

Every time you listening to Gary's music he always played the solos a different way, you learn one version then you hear another and he has played something total different in certain parts, totally been able to improvise the way he did & sound so good, you learned something different all the time, this is what makes him the best that ever was!!! R.I.P you and your music will never be forgotten.....

Just heard on the BBC News that Gary Moore has past away. Very sad. Heaven has now got one hell of a blues band up yhere.

It's controlled feedback. Gary was a master of it. You play a note and the amp generates the sound. The sound wave generated by the amp, in turn, vibrates the string, so the note rings for a long long time.

RIP Great One ... May there be plenty of guitars, fine amps and Phil Lynott to sing along with you wherever the both of you are now !

Gary Moore went to see Fleetwood Mac play in Dublin when he was a teenager. He became a prodigy of Peter Green and when Peter became pissed off with the music business, he "sold" his 1959 sunburst Gibson Les Paul to Gary and that is the Guitar he can be seen playing. I went to the Blues for Greeny concert at the Hammersmith Odeon and it is the ONLY gig I have been to that I was approached outside by a ticket tote who tried to BUY my tickets from me.

Thanks for posting Mr Murray. Have sorta followed your career...Gary Moore is the No 1 guitarist as far as I'm concerned, so I followed you there. I managed to get a beer out of David C overdale when I saw you guys at the Colston Hall Bristol in the early 80s and we were (and Jon Lord) in the bar escaping Magnum, your support band on the night. Always thought that line up was the best - more bluesy. Seen the current line up - not for me. Maybe I'm gettin' old. Hey,,,like I care. Cheers.

I'm so glad Gary Moore decided to go away from headbanging music and play the electric blues...he's GREAT at it...
@MsSoulProvider3 жыл бұрын
Obviously you dont know much of his Works,- the least was " headbanging music" LOL. He played jazz, psychodelic, funk, hard rock- the most ballads are written in what you've called headbanging music. Look up Skid Row and Colloseum for instance,- nothing to do with your( unsubstantial )statement
