Evol klay Zuckerberg started coding in high school his he didn't went to play much, he worked when we' all didn't know what we want! So yeah he worked hard on something he loved and worked more than laborers 14-16 hours a day on his projects and then on Facebook

Yeah, but it didnt take him 20 years or something like that, plus their is more to his story , stealing ideas, project.... im not judging anyone... im juste giving a personal point of view which is sometimes and depending on the situations working smarter might be the solution as working harder might be the right one for some other ones.

First, I feel so bad for the guy/gal that had to go build 1-second shots of all Gary's videos, as an editor of my own youtube show I feel the pain of what that must have been like. That being said, I've been creating KZbin video's since 2008...every day of the week (filmed every Friday night). Three years ago I bought our affiliate company we used on our show. Three years later I've tripled or quadrupled sales on that online store to the point where it's tough to juggle this job with all the others I do. But I do it. I get people writing in with their youtube channel saying "man, you get so many views, I get like 5 on my video's and I've been doing it for almost a year." I have to laugh... these people have like 1,000 subscribers (many because I've told my audience to go follow them as has another larger channel) and they have over 1,000 subscribers when, at my nine month mark, I probably was pushing 200 subscribers and doing it without the help of any other channels referrals. I did have more views than they did, however, probably because I had the chops :) People see our show and think it was easy. It's easy to see someone else and put yourself into their position and say, "oh, I can do that." But, put in the work, and you find the story isn't always a glorious six months of parties and champagne.

+Common Man Cocktails That is hustle. I still have some catching up to do but like Gary says, I'll be doing what I'm doing for the rest of my life, no matter the struggle.
@cmcocktails9 жыл бұрын
+New Future Builder I apply the work ethic to everything. In 2011 my son was diagnosed with Leukemia, we spent 55 days in the hospital. But you know what? We still did the show everyday; we only missed one week (that first week was all about adapting to our new lifestyle). Then, on week 2 my step mother would watch my son in the hospital and we'd film five new episodes. Then my wife would edit them during my shift at the hospital and I'd launch and promote them during her shift at the hospital. We took it day by day, just like any business. We didn't ask when it was over, when it gets good, when things turn around. We handled one task at a time day to day. Two years later he's back to full weight and playing linemen in his 4th grade football league. We didn't bitch, we didn't blame anyone or ourselves, we just handled whatever tasks come at you. So, for Gary who always worries about something bad happening in the family and their health. Yeah, it happened to me and we got through it, so I'm sure Gary would do the same. You can apply hustle to whatever challenge you have to deal with in life.
@cmcocktails9 жыл бұрын
+Dustin's Fish Tanks I just got a spam link 5 minutes ago from someone that doesn't grasp the hustle. Now, had they introduced themselves to me and learned what I do, asked for advice, etc. Then became more than just a random name, perhaps I'd have helped them and even given them a shout out on our channel. But no, instead I just relegate them to the spam folder. It's like walking up to a group of friends at a cocktail party and screaming "I HAVE AN APP! I HAVE A KZbin CHANNEL, WATCH THIS!?" as the group just looks at that individual, shake's their head and turns around to walk away.

5th time is the charm? My first business was successful in that it allowed me to write off the purchase of a PC on my taxes so in effect is cost me nothing - but I sucked at writing software, and sucked more at sales. My second business was a success in that as a tooling and design engineer I completed a dozen projects and the customers got exactly what they wanted for the price I quoted - but I sucked at job costing and made no money. My third business (I'm learning) I did the research and put in the time and created products people wanted and they'd pay a premium for - I still sucked at sales, but got better at job costing and made a little money. My 4th business (I'm learning), started out great, $1M our first year, Was looking at $3M our second year - but 911 came and scared 90% of our customers away - the business bled money to try to stay in business - downsized and moved it into my kitchen - spent every dime to try to see the light at the end of the tunnel - it was there, but too far off, ran out of money, lost my home, downsized the vehicle count to 1. My next business will be different - it will not be self financed and I will leverage every technology out there so that I can be successful. Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Snapchat for business, LinkedIn, KZbin, Medium, email - I'll be everywhere. I am not giving up - I will master this game if it kills me :)
@MattGarcyaDC8 жыл бұрын
So how's it going with that?
@Talisman-tb6vw8 жыл бұрын
Gary Vaynerchuk is partially right. It takes determination. But you have to have what the people want. You can't just make stuff and expect customers. I have a business plan, and a product, but timing has to be right and not on time, but just slightly early so I can get traction. Media is key in marketing, and I have to time that right too. Its too early to say if this will pan out, but so far, my market research says I need to keep going.

I tell my clients and students all the time that there is such a thing as "overnight success" meaning you have to work overnight every night until you are successful. When I started my biz, I worked my day job from 8AM to 5PM and then I would work my business from 5PM to 2AM so I was literally worked overnight for 2 straight years to get where I am today and I still work past midnight sometimes when I am trying to make a project successful. Thank you Gary for the reminder.

People, just watch the fucking sequence and imagine how much GRIT it takes to put out those videos day-in, day-out, and then think of AAAAAALL the work that had to get done BEFORE those videos could be made. Just... Just watch the sequence, watch it until it gets through your skull that SUCCESS takes REAL WORK. Actual work. Not an Instagram post with #hustle or #nodaysoff, but the work that is ACTUALLY behind those hashtags. This is fucking it. Look at it. Thank you, Gary.

So many people should watch this. Luck seems to play a part until you look under the surface. What you normally find is a string of failures where they dusted themselves down and started again, massive sacrifices, turning down nights out with friends, working every spare hour there is and so on. Luck needs redefining in the dictionary, its not the way it seems. This is such a great video. SO much work completed when 'no one was watching'.

i can't be the only one person in China who has been following Gary, but i am sure i am one of the few. Love Gary since the moment i saw your style in a video. i have been a 'lurker' for so long, and i am sorry for that Gary. Gary has been a role model for me, and this video has encouraged me again and proved something i have always believed: i work every day, i don't know if the holidays are coming or what the date today is, i don't have weekends and i love all of it. My friends ask me why i don't hang out or relax, i just don't how to explain, i think time is running out and if i don't hustle and grind until i make it, i don't deserve to 'Relax'. i feel like Gary is talking to me through the video, thank you so much and i really really appreciate what you have put out there, i am crying writing this comment, and this is the very first time i have ever left a comment on KZbin, you know how internet works in China. I love people that are unique. You are unique. I began my journey to become a programmer in August 2013 and am finally feeling in 2016 the closer to my goal. I've been through a lot of my hard work, dedication, perseverance, failures, stupid mistakes through these past 3 years but my goal and determination has never wavered. I love how much emphasis you put on hard work because I know when I want something really bad I work hard for it and that is what it really takes hard work and no excuses.

I may have said a time or two, "best episode yet!".... Forget that shit, Gary... This is what it's all about... busting your ass, doing the shit you don't want to be doing at that moment, because it's the only way to get where you want to go. This is THE episode!

Gary, You could've been a preacher! You've been killin' it lately. Your preaching and cutting to the heart. I'm trying to save my own business currently from bankruptcy from some internal theft. It's hard to get up and fight and remember my dreams some days. But then I get one of your videos in my inbox...

You hit the nail on the head. People see the success and think it happens over night. Takes 10 years to become an expert. Thanks for managing people's expectations.

I love this video. I really needed it. Been an artist for years with practically no fans and have been wondering if i'm capable of making music enough people would like to make a living off of it. Definitely inspiration

People give up easily Gary, I had also started working when I was 15 and have been "hustling" ever since. My priority is to invest in myself. For example, while my former dorm roommates was watching TV, i was watching youtube tutorials, while my college friends were being indifferent to learning outside the scope of our major (telecommunications) I watched Stanford microeconomics class on youtube and read Samuelson's and Nordhause's - The Economics so my mind could have more than one view on the World. That resulted in me getting a better job (not only by salary but by the opportunity to grow) than they have now, if they even have one. Right now I got off my job and I'm learning German although I already speak three different languages. Why ? Because i have found that investing in a new iphone every year yields so little to me, and investing in myself is the best thing I can do with the time I had been given. There is no overnight success, there is only hard work and results.

"It is a gift to wake up in the morning and do whatever you want for the rest of your life." I've wrote this down in my diary to read on Monday morning. Let's never lose sight of how blessed we are to be able to chase our dreams.

Every time in my life I've worked hard, I got rewarded back, even after years. sometimes you think you lost a lot of time doing something that did not work.. but after a while you will know how much you got from it.. one of my client told me "I trust you because you are a hard worker, I've never called you and you did not pick the phone up"

Agree 100% Gary. Individuals who dont live they want to live will not understand this. Sometimes its jealousy, not believing in themselves, self doubt or no focus. I have lost friends and "sprout" new ones because I am not a quitter and tend to ignore the doubters or negative people that have crossed my path in life....

Thanks Gary, this is really the best reminder , whenever i want to give up i watch this . In the last 2 years : 1) I upgraded my IELTS score from 5.5 band to 6.5 band (within 4 month) 2. I became a student 3. I found the job that brings me joy . So I don't know who this guy is but his words inspires me more than anyone else's and brought a lot of positive outcomes to my life .

This is probably one of the best videos you can watch on KZbin. You taught me a lot of things but in this video in particular, you taught me that time is everything. I was constantly rushing, thinking I didn´t have enough time, wanting to make success quickly after taking up something... BUT, now I know I´ve got my whole life in front of me. I just want to say "Thank you".
