After drilling the vent hole how do you remove ant plastic particles from inside the tank ?

I first cleaned all loose pieces around hole inside and outside of can. I shook out all bigger pieces and washed it good with garden hose. After washing I left the can out on sun to dry complete to avoid any water in gasoline. Thank you for watching.
