Because the Shalons you find are usually in pretty rough conditions, many don't seal. But in general ebay masks tend to be way cheaper. The Polish Maskpol MP-5, the Avon FM12, the Forsheda A4 etc are all great options.

Yeah, and you can one get for cheap else where. Plus, there’s other good alternatives like the Avon fm12, Scott m95, US M40 field protective mask, and mcu-2/p or msa Millennium. Old Soviet masks are pretty cheap, but their filters are quite sketchy. Just avoid Mira safety products as they are straight up price gouging big time during this pandemic.
