Why not a Aurdun Flathead which the Hemi was designed after which they were both built by the same guy. Also a 427 SOHC those are cool engines.

Way to go! Great build. There is no way to improve on the look of the stock '34 hood side panels. Some guys try, but the result is inferior and looks....well...hack.

I LOVE This Car!. I feel bad for Mike Coy. Having worked in the Paint & Body side of a Fabrication shop for Cars and Trucks. We constantly got the projects on the paint shop side far behind schedule and the Boss/Owner always wanted to make up time thru us. Working several 16 hour days in a row to get a paint job done was such bullshit. Our work and finished product suffered from it. You cant rush a proper paint job, but it happen to us constantly. Not a way to run a business. Having said that, he is now OUT of business because of bad business practices.

So I found a 1966 mustang on Craigslist, and I think it's one of the 50 anniversary gold mustangs. It's pretty bad, but he wants only 700 dollars for it. If it's an anniversary gold one, that's like 1 of less than 10 known. Who wants to lend me the money so I can buy an extremely rare mustang?

I'm glad they got Brian Bass to do this car. Brian is an artist. Great choices all the way, except for that ugly interior. The chop, the stance, color, and engine, he even painted the Monkey/Pecker logo on the side himself. Just look at the opening shot when he drives in to the G.M. Garage with a bare metal coupe,...wicked. More Bass! On the other hand, Richard,(and Aaron's), bad taste has been evident for a long time. I'm tired of these guys thinking they can just slam a car with air bags and ghetto wheels and it's supposed to be cool. Hey Richard! I hate green too. Other than that, I think the show is great.

Very little modifications. Top wasn't chopped, still had the fenders and running boards, and all parts were there. After Richard and his bunch got through with, it was NOT awesome.

I think they took a beautiful car chopped it up and made it a piece of crap that only a little Tina short guy can drive . I think it’s a car for every 5 foot tall man out there that wants to pretend like he’s 6 foot tall !great job at destroying a American classic ,and making just another car like every other car builder has ever built since the 1970s . way to have no imagination . I just can’t explain how much I dislike this car . This was my least favorite card gas monkey has ever done. I love the show and gas monkey garage in general just hated this car. I particularly hate any car that the top is chopped on ! I think it’s only for a little teeny short guys .

This is an "era specific' hot rod, done just the way it would have been done in 62'-65' time frame. The Hemi is what probably would have been in it. I know what your saying though. Waay too many 350 Chevies in everything these days, but this combo is authentic.
