Your videos should be linked to every RV dealership for people thinking to buy an RV. So they know what they are getting into.

Great information. I like your very realistic approach to RV ownership. Thanks for the reminder to check the screws.

Thanks for being optimistic about when RV defects that occur. I agree, just like owning a home, you need to learn to be handy. Anything mechanical or electrical will eventually fail, especially when exposed to vibration and temperature changes.

Good to see you! And thanks for the video. Regarding the slide, I cut grooves in a couple of yoga blocks and I slide them under the slide when it's in and I'm ready to move. Seems to be ok so far...

Thinking about this camper, thanks for the realistic assessment. I agree about being a handyman. BTW, if a screw gets loose in wood, just shove a toothpick in the hole and use the same screw you already have.

We have a 2108TB and the backsplash is pulling away from the outside wall in the exact same spot as yours. Good video. Thanks.

Great video! The only thing I would ask, is that you takeoff the sunglasses when you’re inside! It looks ridiculous! Other than that, I’m a big guy and getting ready to buy an RV in the next few years. And I make you look small so I will be wanting the heavier duty steps that fold in

Hey man, thanks for watching. I actually wear glasses full time and cant see anything without them. If you're anything like me I miss place my keys and glasses all the time... you'll understand why I didnt switch... I couldnt find them at the time. Happy RV hunting.

bravo! it's a house on wheels set outside to bake & freeze!! the only RVs that "break" less are ones that sit in 1 RV park and get lived in all-year.

I like your realistic attitude. Carry extra stainless screws/fasteners, sealants, adhesives, locktite for wood screws that back out, eternabond tape, pvc waterline, sharkbites, water pump, fuses, electrical repair supplys. I hate when I see on forums about new buyers complaining that the trailer will be at the dealer for who knows how long....learn the basics, watch KZbin vids on repairs If I had a slide I would rip out the dinette and install a small sofa BUT....I'm looking at the 1800BH as I don't want the hassles of the schwintek mechanism or extra weight.

Thanks for for comment. Yeah it sucks to see people waiting weeks to months for simple things to get fixed. The warranty is pointless on simple small stuff so fix it yourself and then the trailer is great. If there is a big issue then use the warranty otherwise you’re just making payments on something you can’t use.

Amen on needing to be a handyman to have fun toys! I couldn't / wouldn't afford all the toys I have if I couldn't work on them. It would be too expensive and frustrating to try to get someone else to fix the little things all the time. The dealer / repair shop experience is a downer, no matter how good and responsive they are. Your RV or other toy is down and an opportunity for a fun trip comes up... you're dead in the water. Staying ahead of the maintenance is tough, since there are so many things that can self-destruct. But, you have to go over everything you can think of, and remind the wife and kids that if they notice something weird or different to point it out, so you can check it out before it fails completely.

Great video! Does the slide have rollers that support the slide when it is in the inboard position? I have a 2201mb and I've noticed some more noise as the slide comes to its inboard stop position, I'll have to look at a way to add support the slide.

You are 100% right, if you aren’t “Handy”, you should not get ANY Rv. They are constant maintenance machines, everything comes loose o the road. If you have to take them in for repair, you will never get to use it and you will hate it.

ive had water leaks in every fitting. all the screws fell out of the dinning table, i use a couple of small steel vice clamps to hold the table together for now. the outside hand rail broke replaced under warranty. handles on the the dometic refridge broke fixed under warranty and broke again. i have a 2021 micro mini 2108. 6500 miles mostly highway Washington state summer storage winter blm ltva. if i had to do over i would build out a storage trailer or buy an Oliver. oh and from what ive seen out here all trailers are the same garbage even airstream.

Warrick, Really enjoy watching your videos. Can you explain in detail your quick connect battery cables from front of truck to rear of truck and then from rear of truck connecting to solar sytems and battery hook up on the solar system.. ty in advance... Tim

Sorry for the late reply, I’ve been gone for a minute from KZbin but I’m back now… so I have positive and negative cables going from the car battery to the rear of the car. Then on the rv I have pos and neg cables from the 4 batteries going to the front of the camper. When I travel I plug them in. The alternator in the car charges the batteries in the trailer. It works but I think a DC to DC charger is what I’m going next time around. Follow my new series as I’ll be doing that in the spring.

You talk about things coming loose w/expansion & contraction w/the weather. People don't realize there is a lot of "flexing" of your trailer when traveling. A lot of flexing. Unless you get a high priced all aluminum framed trailer, your RV Trailer is prone to flexing when towing for travel.

Your comparison to pulling your house down the road and having problems is wrong. Your house is built to be stationary, RV’s are built to be moved. Don’t make excuses for the RV manufacturers. They absolutely could and should be producing better quality products meant to be towed down the road. Also don’t buy into that excuse that the costs would go way up. MSRP’s for RV’s have gone up on average about 50% over the past four years and the product quality hasn’t changed, in fact, it’s probably gotten worse.
