I have PCOS, im only 24 and my weight is alr 165lbs. I tried dieting before, lost couple of pounds but it went sky rocketing again when i started my office job. I want to try gastric surgery but im afraid i could get approved. Nonetheless, im on my 2nd month of my weight loss journey, going to the gym 4-5x a week, lifting weights, more on strength training. I must say, I've never felt more stronger than before. I love it, just enjoying my journey.

it depends on ur BMI, and at 165lb it might not be tht high for surgery

You can't get the sleeve you are only 160 people who get the sleeve have your current weight as a goal you are too small to get it

I have PCOS and I used to be 130 at 5'11". Always been healthy and then right around the pandemic starting I found out I had PCOS after I noticed changes to my appearance and my weight was going up. I feel like I have no control over my health or dieting habits now. I try so hard to eat healthy but these sugar cravings are otherworldly. It literally feels like I have an addiction to food. I want to have gastric because I want to have a baby but I need to lose weight and without this surgery I cannot do that. It's been so impossible. I've tried keto, and just about any other fad diet you can think of. My weight will fluctuate a few pounds and that's it. My hormones are off I have irregular periods and I am not used to this extra weight. I feel like I am slowly dying. I want and need more energy and more confidence and I just want to have relief and be healthier. I'm praying I get approved. I have insulin resistance and have researched and I found out this can significantly reduce that which then I could get pregnant.

I am now 250 pounds and I have gained that in the past couple of years. I'm in pain and/discomfort of some sort every day. I have neck and back issues now. I am 30 and was told I have arthritis in my neck.

I lost almost 80lbs by doing 20 stars jumps, 40 stars jumps without raising my arms in the air, 50 “imagery” skipping rope than 60 “imagery” jumping in a skipping rope, 70 jumping with my imagery skipping rope, 80 again just jumping with the imagery skipping rope and so on. Since then I went from 230lbs to 152lbs not so bad for myself (by the way I never had weight loss surgery in my life.)

Yeah; I'm surprised at how many people who are addicted to food get this surgery. I'm sure it does help, but they also need to work on the mental state of food addiction as well, otherwise they will never truly keep the weight off. I've been thinking about getting VSG surgery. I lost 80lbs on my own 4yrs ago, but have gained it all since then. I'm not addicted to food; my lowest weight was 160lbs. My goal is 120-130. I want this surgery because getting to 160 was very hard for me even though I was eating/exercising properly-- so I think the only way for me to get to a healthy weight of 130lbs is through weightloss surgery.

Some people say this is the'easy way out" let me tell you what would've been so much easier. Staying in our comfort zones and doing nothing to change! The pain and sacrifices are so real with wls. I don't understand how people can scrutinize weight loss surgery that has exponential health benefits but getting a fake butt or lips is celebrated.

Its a simple as not knowing how another person operates, people can try for years and be serious about it and not lose a pound while others don't have to lift a finger and stay perfect. Dieting and working out simply does not work for certain people

It’s really not. If you ever reach morbid obesity, the fat your body holds onto literally releases hormones that makes it insanely difficult for one to limit calorie intake. And even if you lose 100 pounds without surgery, your body will be trying to get itself back to that size the rest of its life. The sleeve is just a tool that helps people in this situation way more likely to be successful, and actually keep the weight off long-term. They have to carefully monitor what they eat the rest of their life, or they can shit their pants or vomit almost immediately. They take vitamins every day for the rest of their life. They could die during recovery. They could also gain the weight back if the stomach stretches out again. It’s not easy, it’s just a far better “hard” compared to living obese.
