Activate Branded Opening as a new chain in BP is the worst a player can do. Like, you have 2 options here. Chain it to Wind Water to summon Aluber and get to Branded Fusion, or just let it go and use it in MP so Talents will be lived. But nahhhh, who needs that. Let's use it in BP AND in a new chain so it can be negated :))

They were originally playing it to make Riryoku Guardian easy to play while also putting another name on the field at the same time. MBT opted not to run that one spell for that some reason, even though it's searchable and an easy game ender in combo with A Hero Lives. Likewise, calling Gate Guardian of Water and Thunder the worst one is a controversial take. A lot of people view Gate Guardian of Thunder and Wind the worst one. Personally, I think they're all good in their own ways and you should be running at least 2 of each and 3 of the big one since the big one is the easiest to summon and floats into the smaller ones.

I didn’t expect the support to be game breaking in any sense of the imagination but rather make it a solid enough deck to not feel like dead weight and it works. When you don’t get hand trapped or negated but then again that can apply to basically every deck so it’s whatever. Definitely something I’ll try just to try.

i really like the new gate guardian cards played alongside the P.U.N.K archetype, punks don't always need their normal and setting up wind and water can be pretty easy, also tank + any punk tuner is just a free baronne

I love when decklists include Baronne for weird contingency plays, like Magical Hound plus Ancient Gear Reactor Dragon off of Urgent Schedule in Earth Machine. "Theoretically, it's really easy to make, you can use Diviner of the Herald (sending a Herald of the Arc Light) and the level 4 Fire to make it happen, but I didn't make it at all, and I spent $120 on this card and I did not make it at all, it didn't come up once. I spent $120 on this card. When I was working a 9 to 5, I made $120 a day, this is eight hours of my life. I didn't make it once." - MBT

Gate Guardian was always one of my favorites back in the old days in 2003 when I was playing heavily against kids in the playground. But he was so neglected for years when all the silly new cards that didn't even fit yugioh's theme was getting all the love year after year. So glad he's finally playable !!
