Gated Dover Impulse? Elevator at Myron Taylor Hall - Cornell Law School - Ithaca, NY

[Recorded on 9-8-21] Here's a bit of a wacky elevator uploaded for April Fool's Day, easily the strangest one I've found on Cornell's campus so far. As mentioned in the video, this was installed when the building was constructed in 1932, then was modernized c. 1990. However, most equipment was left original, just the buttons were replaced.

Incredibly nice and unusual elevator, and it would have been really amazing if Dover used mechanical bells for their Impulse fixtures. It also would be cool if mechanical bells started making a comeback on newer fixtures (2000-present, and beyond).

I vote this to be one of the best Dover elevators out there. Such a beauty! Glad they kept mostly everything original.

Agreed! It would have been better if it were original, but I think Dover did an excellent job at keeping the charm of the vintage Otis elevator.
